So... I was searching around on here, and noticed that nobody had written a fanfic for Wasted, a book of which I finished today, and have added to my top five, (Okay.. So maybe I have about 24 books in my top five, but still.. :P) and this made me feel sad. Wasted, by Nicola Morgan, is a book you should soooo read! I loves it muchly :D

So yes.. Anyways, I decided to type a fanfic for it. Obviously noone's gonna read it, coz well.. Noone's probably read it except me, but this one's for me. My own personal joy :)

Cheers! :D

Somewhere, far away, a girl flipped a coin.

She wasn't trying to play Jack's Game - she wasn't trying to play any game. She was just trying to quench her boredom,
and a twenty cent piece seemed the way to go.

"Heads," she said out loud, forgetting she was on the phone.

On the other end of the line, her boyfriend, Leon, snickered. "What dirty things are you thinking this time?" he wondered jokingly.

She blushed. "I'm flipping a coin, dickhead."

"Ooh, touchy," was Leon's reply and she grinned.

"Anyways, heads, I bet ya."

He was up for the challenge. "Okay then - five bucks it's tails."

She grinned wider."You're on." She balanced the coin on her index finger, but it wobbled off again. She wasn't very good at the whole coin-flipping thing, but she knew how to do an okay show of it once she got started. Once it was balanced on her finger steadily, she flicked her thumb up and it flew, for about two seconds, into a clumsy circle of nothing much.

Then she, amazingly, caught it first try. A sign of good luck, maybe? Nah, she didn't believe all that mumbo-jumbo stuff. "Yes!" she cried, ignoring her internal debate of her personal beliefs and focusing on the more simple things. "I caught it!" Leon said nothing, and so she smacked her catching hand onto the back of her flipping hand, the coin squished in between. Then she, pain-stakingly slowly, lifted her palm from covering the coin. It was heads.

"Yes!"she cried again. "You owe me a fiver!"

Leon scowled playfully. "You're so just saying that."

But she wasn't. It really was heads. But what if it had been tails? If it had been tails then would this whole story have happened? I can ask that, you can ask that, but this girl, Leon, Jack and even Jess don't know that this is even a story.

A story of love, life, luck and even... Chance.
