Eternal Love
"He died ten days ago" the police officer said.
Shreya stared at him dumbstruck. And then she snickered softly. This was a joke. It had to be a joke.
"That isn't true! Daya will never leave me! You are a liar!" she said.
"No Madam. We have proofs" said the police officer.
"But that's not possible. He sends me a bunch of Roses everyday. They come from a local florist who owns a shop in a locality where Daya stays! I received the roses today as well" said Shreya.
"Mam, I don't know about the mystery behind the roses, but I am telling you the truth. He is dead.
"You are a liar! You wait, just wait! I will prove you wrong" she said angrily.
Shreya reached the florist in a hurry.
"I need your h...help..." she said breathlessely, showing the florist Daya's photograph. "Have you seen this man?"
"Yes of course. He used to buy roses from me every day to gift them to his would be wife. But unfortunately he passed away in an accident few days ago. The incident took place right before my eyes" said the florist looking sad.
Shreya heart skipped a beat. "But I still receive roses from him everyday" she whispered shakily.
The florist stared at her for a second and asked "Who are you?"
"I am his fiancée" she answered.
The florist stared at her for a long time and finally flashed her a teary smile.
"You are very lucky ma'am. He loved you a lot. I ridiculed him when he came to my shop a few days ago and asked from this crazy favour. I never knew at that time... Maybe he knew his life was in danger..." he said.
"What did he ask you to do?" asked Shreya.
"He paid in advance for the roses and asked me to deliver them to you for your whole life" said the florist.
