"And it's the fight, and the fight of our lives. You and I, we were made to thrive. And I am your future, I am your past. Never forget that we were built to last, step out of the shadows and into my life. Silence the voices that haunt you inside and just say the word, we'll take on the world. And just say you're hurt, we'll face the worst. Nobody knows you, the way that I know you. Look in my eyes, I will never desert you and just say the word, we'll take on the world."

"Where the hell do you think you're going?" The deep, undeniably sexy voice of Dean Winchester seemed to bounce off the thick stone walls as his arm swung out, preventing the young blonde from taking another step towards the two hunters. His eyebrow rose to new heights as the curvy girl rolled her eyes, clicking her tongue in frustration before speaking.

"You cannot be serious right now?" Her thick British accent clashed with that of the older man before her, her eyes flickering to the taller figure cautiously edging towards the door. "Sam?" But her attempt to gain support from the other Winchester fell short, as after giving her nothing but a sympathetic smile and a small shrug, Sam began to ascend the wrought iron staircase to the bunkers only exit without a word.

Shaking his head and scooting to the side in an attempt to block his brother's line of sight, Dean used his foot to pull forward one of the nearby chair causing it to gently knock the back of Lily's legs. Gripping the young girl's shoulder as he spoke, he attempted to push her down into the seat. "Don't go looking to him for help. I said no, you're staying here."

"She is my friend too." Pushing forwards and continuing to fight against the man's strong grip, Lily began to feel a bubble of grace simmering within her and carefully switched her focus to keeping control. Dean however, did no such thing.

"You don't think I know that?" His voice rose even louder, catching the girl somewhat off-guard as she groaned angrily at the man's incapability to give her a straightforward answer.

"Then what, Dean? You know I can help, if she's hurt-"

"If she's hurt, then we will bring her back here." Though the girl opened her mouth to respond, Dean continued to speak without pause. "And if she's hurt badly then we will take her to a hospital because I am not letting you risk yourself again!"

"I always-"

"You always argue, you always frustrate me to no end and you always ignore the risks." Dean paused his rant briefly before continuing at a slightly slower speed this time. "I can't-" He pursed his mouth for a moment, eyelids fluttered closed as if preparing himself mentally for the next words to leave his lips. "I can't lose you too, ok?" His tone was softer this time, his grip still firm on Lily's shoulder as he looked down at her one more. "So sit your ass down and wait here. We'll be back soon." Surprisingly, the young blonde's pump lips remained tightly sealed as she allowed the eldest Winchester's green eyes to bore into her own and his strong hand to push her into a seating position before him. Then there was nothing but the sound of material and footsteps, as Dean collected his duffle bag from the bottom of the staircase and followed his brother's path towards the door.

"Dean."

"What?" He breathed the word out, turning to look expectantly at the blonde and ready to shut the door on her final argument. But the sight shocked him, knocking his breath for a moment. Her eyes staring up at him from her still-seated position, tears threatening to overflow and heart beating firmly against her chest.

"Promise to come back in one piece?" Her voice was quiet, lacking confidence but she knew he could hear her. His sad eyes dropping slightly as he knew it wasn't a promise he could make. "Because I don't wanna die trying to save your arse." Cracking a soft smile at the girl's attempt to lighten the situation, Dean gave a small nod goodbye before pulling the door close behind him.

Nibbling her lower lip in annoyance, Liliana Beattie could feel her eyes rolling despite her best intentions as the dull sound of her misogynistic boss droned on and on. Time ticked by as the usual working day slipped into overtime, the small town in which she lived and worked falling into the dim light of evening. And her ankle-boot clad feet carried her almost autonomously towards the two-bed semi she rented.

It was quiet, as always. The small period between work and home that bought an overwhelming sense of peace to the young girl. But all too quickly, the darkening sky seemed to brighten somewhat. Raising her hazel gazes slightly to focus on the large number of shooting stars suddenly illuminating the sky, the ordinary girl found herself nibbling her lip once more. Although this time, it was in curiosity and... fear?

More and more gleaming lights filled the sky, dashing across the clouds. And it took a moment before Lily noticed one particular light getting brighter and brighter. It appeared closer than the rest... Moving in a certain direction... Almost falling... Towards her.

And then, everything went black.
