CHAPTER ONE – 'I intend to.'
"BUT IT'S NOT MY FAULT!" Chara shouted at their drunken father, who loomed over them, waving around a broken glass beer bottle. Tears streamed from the child's face as they cowered in the corner of the room. "P-please dad… You know it's not my fault! Y-you- AGHH!" They were interrupted by the beer bottle being swung at them, giving very little time for them the use their arms as a shield. Screaming, they begged for mercy.
"DAMN THE DAY YOU WERE BORN! YOU'RE THE REASON YOUR MOTHER IS DEAD YOU FAGGOT!" Chara's dad yelled relentlessly, spitting venomous down at his poor, bloody child. Blood poured from Chara's arms for once not by their own actions and they did nothing but sob as they received blow after blow from their still yelling father.
Chara walked to school the next day, head down, lost in their thoughts when they were interrupted by shouting across the street.
"Hey he-she!" Chara rolled their eyes and walked faster. They weren't going to school today and they weren't going home either. They were going to the afterlife.
"You're ignoring me?! How rude!" The kid taunted before running across the street to Chara and pushing them.
"You'll regret that one day!" They spat at them. "Fucking she-male! Why haven't you just killed yourself!?" Chara stood their ground and looked up at them, grinning.
"Now that's hardly a way to greet somebody, no?" They said, holding back tears which burned their eyes. "Don't worry, I fully intend to!" Chara laughed. "You'll have to find a new target though! Wouldn't suggest it though, you might have more blood on your hands!" The kids laughed, not taking him seriously.
"Go ahead then! We don't care!" They said, running the rest of the way to school, Chara however, took a different direction. Chara headed up Mt Ebott, letting the tears flow in the privacy of the trees.
They stormed up to the very top of the mountain, only one thing running through their mind. 'Jump.'
And so they did. Chara looked up at the sky and let themselves fall down that dark hole.
