A/N: OK. I had an old Oc, who I had to put his little story up. Well, Im not sure if I should accept characters this time around, so ill leave it in the air for now. But Anyways, I give you all… (Insert story name here)!
Chapter 1-
The pouring rain was warm against my black sweatshirt, and caused the hood to stick to the top of my head. It was summer, I think. It was rather hot, even in the downpour. My claws and feet were exposed, and the gray skin was slick from the rain. The malformations of the feet, making them move my big toe back, and giving it a point, making my climbing easier. I was probably the smartest of my kind, if I could even call them that yet.
I can't remember my name…who I was… how old I am… it's all just a blur… Every time I try to think back, my head racks with sharp pains, and my brain begins to throb. This sweatshirt on me says "Chicago University", but the form of my body, I was still a teenager. All of this… this… chaos… I don't even know what to call it anymore… has spread everywhere. This place, a city which name I lost so long ago, Is overrun by my brethren. Its population was large before, so the infection has had its chaotic fun with this withered city… and I was in the middle of it.
I was on top of the tallest building here. The tip of the skyscraper was basically ripped off, and it was open to the air. I sat there, looking down at the city full of my infected brethren. I had a keen scent of death and gunpowder, for there was survivors out there, and they always fought back. Some lived longer than others, but none have left the city due to the quarantine.
I snapped my head up at the sound of shot, and I looked down towards the ruins. I saw repeated flashes, along with the sounds, of gunfire. I heard a loud growl follow, and I saw a car fly through the air towards the source of the sound. I quickly jumped off of the skyscraper, onto the roof of a building nearby.
I leapt from building to building, going towards the gunshots. As I neared, I heard the yell of one of my largest of my brethren. When I looked over the edge of an old office building, I saw a group of four survivors. They were all firing at the large infected, who was bellowing and thrashing is arms around, tossing debris. The group of people was much run down, a female, and three males. One of the males appeared to be very young, not even in his late adolescences. The girl, looking to be around my age, was doing the most damage to the large infected, and it shifted its focus towards her.
The thing ran towards her, its large arms giving it the force and drive to squish her flatter than a piece of paper. Before I even knew what I was doing, I slammed into the female, pushing her out of the way. The large creature went head first into a wall, and he was temporarily stunned. The girl shouted as I tackled her to the ground, and I grabbed the weapon she was using. I ran up to the large creature with it in one hand, and I pointed it at its head. It let out a bellow as I pulled the tiny lever with my finger, and its cranium blew clean off of its shoulders.
I felt something hit my back, and I let out a shout. It was a blunt force, and I was forced to my knees. I felt it again as it hit my skull. I looked behind myself to see one of the men with a wooden baseball bat. He raised it to hit me again, but I reached up my clawed hand, and caught it. I wrenched it from his hands, and snapped it in half. He looked in shock as I let out a yell in words, something I haven't done in a while. "NO!' my voice was hoarse and it hurt to talk. My words echoed throughout the entire city block.
"Did that hunter just talk?" I looked at the boy, his face looking befuddled. The girl slowly walked up to me, holding out her hand. I shoved the weapon at her, the point that killed the large infected pointing straight at her chest. They all froze. "What… scared… about?" I hoarsed out, putting the weapon in her soft hands. After I did, I tapped her hand with my claw. That was soft. Softer than the pile of trash I slept in every night. Softer than the rough texture of my skin. I then grabbed her hands, and rubbed it against my side of my face. I purred at its softness, and started to nuzzle it with my cheek.
"Uh… is he alright…?" one man asked, as I continued to purr. "I dunno… he seems friendly…" the girl said, patting my head through my hood. I stomped my clawed foot on the ground at that. This feels so good! How come I didn't know about this stuff earlier? "Can we keep him?" the boy asked. One of the older men, his face adorned by some black stubble "I'm not sure, Zack… what if he attacks us?" the girl stopped petting me, and I frowned. "He properly operated a shotgun, killed a tank, spoke, and just purred at being pet like a cat. I'm pretty sure he's on our side…" the older man sighed "Fine he can come… but he needs a name…" they all looked at me expectantly, and I shrugged my shoulders. Something tells me we'll get along just fine…
A/N: Ok! Heres the first chapter, hope you enjoyed! Now im still confused on what my hunter's name should be, so I'll give it a while. Cya later!
