A/N: Hello welcome to my Power Rangers Fan Fiction, I do not own power rangers, just this story and it's characters.

My plan is to make this a more mature version of Power Rangers, so it won't be bloody and gory, but there will be choice language, realistic Teenage problems and social themes and so on...

With that out of the way, I hope you enjoy :)

Shay View Texas, a small isolated city near the center of the state that was surrounded by forests, mountains, and lakes. There wasn't much to Shay View, in fact, if you weren't careful it would be easy to completely glaze over it on a map. Just like any other city it had its schools, its businesses, its parks, and suburbs, people went to work during the day and went home at night, there was nothing that made it stand out. Well at least that was the case, but there's a dark secret hidden beneath the surface of this supposing peaceful city. A secret that once it's uncovered will change Shay View and the world forever.

***PRDG***

It was midnight in Shay View, dark and cold, two cloaked figures were walking deep in the forest that bordered the city. It was nearly quiet, the only sound that could be heard was the crunching of leaves and branches under their feet and the rustle of leaves from the wind. They seemed to be the only signs of life in the area, not even a sleeping animal could be seen. The two walked quickly and closely together, using the light from the moons and stars to lead their way. They walked for about an hour when they came upon the start of a mountain range.

"Are we here father?" the shorter of the two asked, as they came to a stop. Her voice was soft and innocent.

"Yes," the taller of the two answered, his deep voice breaking through the silent night air, "yes, we are finally here My Little."

He walked closer to the side of the mountain and brought his hand up to touch the rocky side, "After centuries of searching I have finally found it," he sighed in relief.

"Are you sure father?"

"Do you doubt me My Little?" he asked with an edge in his voice.

"I mean no disrespect father; it is just you have been looking for the seal for a long time and told me about times you thought you found it but were mistaken. How are you sure this time is any different?"

He chuckled darkly at this and clenched his fist against the rock of the mountain, "That might be true My Little, but I have learned to hone my senses," he said, "There is a familiar power emanating from this place, a power that is waiting, begging to be set free. We are the only ones that can release that power."

His daughter nodded her head in a silent agreement and stepped a few feet back from the mountain. While she did that, he used his other hand to pull out a golden orb encrusted with red and white jewels from his cloak. He grabbed the sphere with both hands and held it towards the mountainside, "Sphere of the artifacts here lies your one true master, wrongly punished and imprisoned by traitorous bastards."

As he said this the jewels on the sphere began to glow and dark energy enveloped the object, "Un-unleash your power so that he may…so that he may r-rise again," his breath got more labored with each world, and his arms started to shake. More dark energy enveloped the object and it started to spark off, shooting directly at the mountainside.

A crack began to form where the energy was hitting and the ground began to shake, "Chrisimopoiíste tin enérgeiá sas gia na exapolýsete aftí ti chaméni dýnami, gia na tin anaviósete sti simeriní mas epochí óste na párei ton élencho"

The crack was growing larger with every world, and the ground shook more violently, and the trees rustled with the movement. He was now shaking violently as well with the dark energy starting to envelop his own body as well.

"Father, father?" his daughter tried, but he motioned for her to stay back. He stopped the incantation, the dark energy stopped flowing through the object and the ground stopped shaking. He fell to the ground exhausted shaking violently, blood-sweating out of his hands and arms.

"Father!" she cried and ran to his side to help him up, "What was that?"

"It's going to take more energy than I originally thought to open the seal, that was just a recoil of power," he explained as he struggled to get to his feet, "we need to be careful of that, we don't want to alert the council about what we're doing."

"You need to rest father before we continue-" she tried but was cut off.

"Nonsense, now that the process has been started it's only a matter of time till the seal will be fully broken, and then the world will change for the better," he chuckled as he looked at the crack at the mountain. It was large and a bright light was glimmering through, "just a matter of time."

Three Days Later…

It was the middle of the night in Shay View and the people of the city were sleeping peacefully, well most of them were. In one house in the suburbs, a faint light could be seen from a bedroom on the second floor. Inside a teenage boy was sitting on his bed with a perplexed look on his face. The light from his desk lamp illuminated the small area around the bed, revealing his dark brown skin along with a slew of letters and pamphlets from colleges spread across the mattress.

Some were from universities in Texas like Houston University, Prairie View A&M University, The University of Texas at Austin, and Shay View's own S.V University. While others were from schools out of state: like Howard University, Hampton University, Morehouse College, Virginia Polytechnic Institute, and as far as The University of Southern California and New York University.

"What to do, what to do?" he muttered under his breath as he surveyed the multiple pieces of paper, "What would you do Annabelle?" he asked a small ragdoll cat that was laying on his window sill and looking in his direction.

It meowed as if to respond before it turned its head away to look out the window, "Some help you are."

He sighed and plopped back against the pillow he had up against the headboard. He's been racking his brain about this for hours, heck weeks, and he was no closer to an answer. He looked around his room in exhaustion. It was an average room with red and white striped walls that had a few posters of animals along with some other decorations hung up. His bed was against the left wall and shared the same color bedspread as the wall. On the wall across the bed was his dresser which had a few plush animals on top of it, along with some pictures, his gaming system, and games, and his television was mounted just above it.

With another heavy sigh mixed with a yawn, he gathered all the pamphlets and got up to throw them in one of the dresser drawers. He was tired and no closer to coming up with a decision if he stayed awake any longer. He was about to turn off his desk lamp when suddenly, he felt the house start to shake beneath his feet. Not long after he heard his dresser start to wobble and saw the stuff hanging on his walls begin to shake and fall off.

"Shit," he cursed under his breath as he grabbed Annabelle from the window and jumped on the bed. He didn't have to turn the lamp off anymore when the earthquake knocked it off the desk and it broke as it hit the floor. A dog barking loudly came from downstairs along with a few more sounds of things falling and breaking on the floor. His closet door, which was cracked slightly, flew open and slammed against the wall. The plush animals fell to the floor along with a few of his games, and his drawers opened slightly.

He held on tightly to Annabelle for a few more minutes as the earthquake slowly subsided. Soon the shaking stopped completely, and the boy was left clutching his cat on the bed and looking around his now mess of a room, "Are you okay Annabelle?"

The cat meowed in response again as it fidgeted in his arms. He sighed in content and slowly eased his way out of bed, and with Annabelle still in his hands, opened his bedroom door to asses the damage in the hallway. The barking from downstairs had gotten louder and the hallway looked no better than his room. Two other doors in the hallway opened just after his. Out of one came a pre-teen girl clad in only her nightclothes. She was shaking, eyes wide, completely freaking out, "Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god."

"Kylee, Kylee, shhh calm down, it's over, we're okay," he said calmly as he gave her a hug to try and console her. She was breathing hard in his chest and shaking even harder in his arms.

Out of the other door came an older man and woman, also only in their night clothes, "Kylee, Keon, are you guys alright," the man asked.

"A little shaken but we're good Dad," Keon answered.

"Speak for yourself," Kylee said right after, "this is getting ridiculous."

Their dad was about to walk over to them when his wife stopped him by grabbing his shoulder, "Clarence be careful. There's glass on the floor."

That's when Clarence looked down to see some picture frames had fallen and glass had scattered across the hallway floor. He carefully stepped over the glass and then ran over to his children, giving Kylee a tight hug, followed right after by their mother. While the two tried to console her Keon could not ignore the constant barking from downstairs, "I'm going to go check on Lucky real quick, make sure she's not hurt."

Keon sprinted down the stairs and saw the effect of the earthquake on the living room, the shelf that was against the wall had fallen. More picture frames were laid on the floor and the mounted television was now tilting to its side. He followed the barking through the kitchen, being careful to step over broken dishes, and over to the connected laundry room where a dog gate was standing in the entrance. On the other side of that gate was the source of the barking, a German shepherd jogging her legs in place and barking even more once she saw Keon get closer.

"Hey, girl it's okay, it's okay. You need to stay in here though, there's to much glass on the floor and you might hurt yourself if I let you out," he said as he pets behind her ear. She calmed down as soon as he touched her laying back down on her doggy bed. He looked in the laundry room and was relieved to see that other than a few empty bottles on the floor there was no major damage or anything that could have hurt Lucky.

"How's she doing?" he heard his dad ask from behind him.

"She's fine just a little spooked, how's Kylee doing?"

"Still freaked, she doesn't even want to go in her room right now."

"I don't blame her, all these earthquakes are really getting to her, and that was a big one."

"Yeah…"

"Well, you can tell her if she wants, she could sleep in my room, so you guys can get back to bed."

"Thanks, but I don't think we're going back to bed anytime soon. Besides, I know you have an early day tomorrow with practice. You should get back to bed so you can rest and be on your toes."

"Yeah get back to bed…"

"Goodnight Keon," his dad said as he went back up the stairs.

"Night."

The sun has finally risen over Shay View and the people were getting ready to start a new day. For many that meant starting off by cleaning the mess caused by the earthquake the previous night. That was no different for one family in an apartment complex in downtown Shay View. A young girl was in the kitchen, broom in hand, sweeping up some broken glass and debris into a small pile. Her long brown hair was put in a ponytail and she was wearing a light blue shoulderless t-shirt with white skinny jeans and sandals. On the kitchen counter, she had her cellphone propped up playing a news video.

"Over a third of Shay View are reporting structural damage and power loss after the city was struck by another earthquake last night at 12:06 am. This is the third night in a row that the city was hit by an earthquake around that time and with last night's earthquake having a magnitude of 5.9 it was the strongest yet…" the reporter said through the cell phone speaker. She got distracted though when a song started playing from the living room, and she turned to see her brother sorting through the fallen debris to see what could be salvaged, singing loudly along with the song.

"Dom can you turn that down some?" she tried but he either couldn't hear her or just ignored her as he continued to sing, "Dom, Dom, Dominic!"

When he still didn't respond she grabbed a damp towel from the sink and threw it at the back of his head. That got his attention as he stopped singing to see what had hit him and then looked up to see her smiling back at him, "What the hell Ivanna?"

"Shh, I'm trying to see what's going on," she said as she motioned to the phone.

The video now scrolling through photographs sent in by the station's audience that depicted damage done by the earthquake. Looking at the pictures than surveying her own apartment she sighed to see that her family at least got off easier than the rest. Yeah almost everything that was made of glass was broken on the floor, and the shelf that held their family portraits had fallen down along with everything on them, at least the apartment itself wasn' destroyed, and nobody was hurt.

"I can tell you what's going on, there was an earthquake last night. All of our shit got broken, now we have to clean up the mess," he groaned, throwing the towel back at Ivanna who swiftly dodged it.

"It wasn't just an earthquake Dom, this is different."

"How?"

"I don't know but think about it, an earthquake three nights in a row, at the same time, and they keep getting stronger, that's not normal. That's not natural."

"Your point?"

"My point is that something strange is going on here and- she was cut off though when the apartment door opened, and their mom walked in talking on the phone.

She ended her phone call and looked over to her kids, "Thanks for starting to clean up guys, I would help but I need to be your abuelo and abuelita right now, make sure they don't hurt themselves."

"No problem mom, and we can totally come help," Ivanna said.

"How did you know I was going to ask you to come help?"

"I don't know, abuelo can be stubborn, and you're going to need more than just the three of you. We don't mind, do we, Dom?"

"I guess we don't," he said through clenched teeth, "It's not like we have any plans or anything today," he finished. Ivanna didn't miss the glare he sent her way.

"That's sweet of you two, and I would really appreciate it, there's a lot to go through," their mother said oblivious to the tension, I'll go grab the boxes."

While she left to do that, Dominic turned to Ivanna, "What the hell, I thought I told you to stop volunteering me with your volunteer shit."

"This isn't just volunteering; this is helping family. Besides what plans did you have anyway?" she asked. Dominic didn't even answer her as he turned back around to return to the living room.

Ivanna smiled triumphantly and returned to sweeping up the kitchen and paying attention to the news video. They were still talking about the earthquake. A sense of dread came over her again as she listened, and she couldn't help but remember the dream she had just before the earthquake last night.

She was in a white void, fog settled on the ground below her. She had no idea where she was, and even though she couldn't see anything or anyone else, she had the eerie feeling that she wasn't alone.

"Hello, is anyone there?" she called out, but no one answered. Her voice echoed into the void.

"I've been here before," she muttered under her breath.

Then she started to hear something faint in her ear. A man's voice saying, "Guardian, you have been chosen."

She was confused at first but before she could ask any questions the room flashed a bright blue and the voice got louder, "Guardian, you have been chosen. Guardian, you have been chosen."

The room flashed again, but this time it was a mix of colors, "What the hell?"

She wasn't alone anymore either. She was now standing at the end of a row of four. They were cast in shadows so she couldn't make out who they were, "Hello, who are you? What's going on?" but they didn't answer.

Then a red light flashed over the figure in the middle, a yellow flashed over the figure right beside her, and a blue light flashed over her. The voice from earlier, along with two others began to speak again, this time loud and clear, "Guardians, you have been chosen. Guardians, you have been chosen. Guardians, you have been chosen."

Then she woke up thanks to the earthquake and couldn't get back to sleep. She shook her head from the dream and tried to push it to the back of her mind, but she couldn't help and feel that they were connected to the earthquakes in some way, "I have a bad feeling."

"Come on Matthew! Are you going to do it or not?"

"Shut up Clay, let me get in the zone!"

Three teenage boys were in an abandoned skate park near the outskirts of Shay View. Two were leaning against a wired fence as they looked up to their third member, Matthew, standing on top of a halfpipe ramp holding a makeshift skateboard. The one who had called out, Clay, was holding up his phone and pointed it towards Matthew to record him. The other boy was not so invested as he was in the condition of the halfpipe and rest of the park. Half the ramps were old and cracked, some were just a broken mess, and the ramps that were still standing were covered in graffiti.

"Come on Matthew, hurry up," Clay called out again, "We don't have all day and Dylan's shaking in his pants over here."

"Matthew get down from there, it's dangerous. Why couldn't we go to the ramps at the park?" Dylan asked.

"Cause, he doesn't want to embarrass himself in front of everyone when he falls on his ass and-" Clay started.

"Will you guys shut up please," Matthew more commanded than asked. His friends stopped talking so he could concentrate on whatever it was he was doing. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, then opened them to look down the ramp. It looked higher when he was on top than it did when he was on the ground. With a heavy sigh, he put the board down and balanced himself on it, before he started to roll down. He could feel the wind against his face as he slid down the ramp for a few seconds only for it to slam against the hardwood of the ramp a few seconds later.

"Fuck!" he exclaimed as he landed and rolled off the ramp.

"Shit, Matt are you okay?" Dylan asked as he rushed over to check on his friend.

Clay, on the other hand, was laughing out loud, clapping with his phone in hand, "Dude that must have been a personal best. What was that, like 10 seconds? That was perfect."

"Dude stop laughing he could be hurt!" Dylan chastised.

"Chill man, he's fine. Just a couple of scrapes and bruises," Clay said nonchalantly, still giggling under his breath.

"Shut up," Matthew mumbled under his breath. That didn't stop Clay from laughing though.

"I don't know why you try man. That was fucking sad."

"You messed up my concentration man," Matthew said as he finally got up his feet. Clay only continued to laugh while Matthew pat off bits of gravel and dirt from his bright yellow shirt, "And I think I made the wheels on this uneven or something, maybe I should try and make a new one."

"Excuses my friend, face it you just suck ass," Clay said.

"Oh yeah? Let me give it another shot," he tried about to climb the top of the halfpipe again only to be held back by Dylan.

"Hell no, you aren't breaking your neck on my watch, I don't need your parents coming down on me."

Clay broke out in laughter again at this, "Yeah you better listen to him, you don't want mommy and daddy dearest to hear that you got hurt out here. How would that look for the family," he joked.

Matthew chuckled shortly at this and threw the helmet at Clay who easily caught it, "I don't care if they find out, I'm not scared of them."

"Oh really, then where do they think you are right now?" Clay asked with a smirk.

"At my house studying, which we should be doing instead of wasting time here," Dylan answered and received a glare from Matthew.

"What the fuck should you be studying for? School doesn't even start for another month."

"Placement exams for higher level classes and career prep semi...you know what forget about it, you wouldn't get it," Dylan said.

"You're right I don't get it," Clay said, a slight bit of annoyance in his tone.

"Neither do I, they're stupid," Matthew interjected.

"They're important," Dylan emphasized.

"You wouldn't catch me studying during my summer."

"I would be surprised to see you studying at all," Dylan muttered under his breath.

Clay clenched his jaw and let out a sigh. He was about to turn and say something to Dylan, and Matthew decided to stop the conversation right there, "You know what Dyl, maybe you're right. We should get some studying done today," he said. He stepped in between the two and started to push Dylan towards the exit of the skate park, "See you, Clay!"

"Yeah see you, Matthew," he said rather pointedly. Dylan didn't say anything as he was pushed out and towards his car.

Dylan got in the driver's seat and Matthew got in the passenger's. They sat in silence for a few moments before Matthew broke the silence, "You could be nicer to him you know."

"Yeah I could," was all Dylan said, and Matthew just left it at that with a sigh. They remained silent as they drive out of the empty parking lot and made their way towards the center of downtown.

Meanwhile, in the forest that bordered Shay View, the same two figures were at the mountainside again. Still hidden beneath their goals, the young girl was keeping watch for any passerby while her father faced the mountain wall. The crack that had started to form when they first arrived was now much larger and deeper into the side of the mountain, the bright light that emitted from it was now much larger and intense. A slew of pained whispers and faint screams were coming from the crack as well, begging to be released from their torment.

"Soon, soon, you will all be free," he whispered.

"Father, shouldn't we wait till nightfall to continue? We can get found out being in the open," the girl said.

"The seal is too far open now to wait any longer. If it's not opened now the council will undoubtedly notice the energy being released and try to close it and we will be right back where we started. We must finish breaking the seal now," he said as he brought the golden orb encrusted with jewels from under his cloak and pointed it towards the crack.

He started to chant, "Chrisimopoiíste tin enérgeiá sas gia na exapolýsete aftí ti chaméni dýnami, gia na tin anaviósete sti simeriní mas epochí óste na párei ton élencho."

Dark energy began to envelop his orb and shoot towards the crack in the wall. The light danced with each shock of dark energy it got, growing brighter as a result. As he spoke the incantation the ground started to shake as well more violently than it had the first time and the previous night. The trees were shaking, branches fell down, rocks began to tumble from the top of the mountain, it was a complete disaster. The crack was growing larger and deeper as well, the screams of anguish grew louder with every word spoken. The crack itself was starting to spew out bolts of energy at the man and the ground, energy bolts that created more glowing cracks and were traveling towards Shay View.

"Father!" his daughter yelled in fear from what was happening, as everything got wilder. She could barely keep her footing due to the earthquake and had to try and dodge the falling debris.

His father didn't seem to mind the danger though, he was focused solely on the task at hand. His body was shaking violently aside from the earthquake, and blood was dripping from his pores, but he didn't care. He yelled with joy, "Yes, yes, yes! Awaken and take your place in the world once more!"

***PRDG***

"All I'm saying is that you can be a little nicer to Clay, he hasn't done anything to you," Matthew said as they drove down the street.

"I don't see how I'm not being nice. It's not like I'm the one itching for a fist fight," Dylan defended himself.

"Well, how would you feel like if you were constantly insulted for no reason?"

"Stating facts is not insulting."

"You could have fooled me."

"I don't see why you hang out with him in the first place."

"He's cool and a nice guy, if you at least tried to get to know him that is."

"Look I'm not-" Dylan was cut short though when the ground started to violently shake beneath them. They could see the few buildings, trees, and lampposts also start to shake. Some lamp posts tipping over and falling into the middle of the street.

"Shit!" Dylan said as he swerved his car to avoid being hit by.

"Oh my god, drive into the parking lot, drive into the parking lot," Matthew directed when he saw an empty parking lot nearby. They quickly made way over and parked in the middle of the lot. They stayed there as the earthquake got more and more violent.

"Dylan, what the fuck is that?" Matthew asked when he noticed white glowing cracks start to form in the ground and seemingly move towards them. He could swear he heard screams escaping the cracks as well as a hand or two reaching out.

"I have no idea."

"Abuelita, do you have anything else you want me to take to the trash shoot?" Ivanna asked as she grabbed a trash bag filled with unsalvageable trash. She was standing in the middle of the small living room, and her grandmother looked around.

"Nothing that I can think of right now," she answered.

They've been straightening up the apartment for about an hour now, and it felt like they were nowhere near done. Her grandparents had much more breakable things in their apartment that was now destroyed. Her mom and Dominic were in their bedroom helping their grandfather go through items, while she and her grandmother went through the living room.

"Okay, I'll be right back."

Ivanna walked out and down the hallway towards the trash shoot on the floor. She whistled as she walked and went around the corner only to stop in her tracks when she had an overwhelming sense of danger come over her body. The building started to shake beneath her feet, "What, another one."

She leaned against the wall as the shaking got more violent and little lamps on the wall began to shake off and crash on the ground beside her. That wasn't all though, she could see from a window in the hallway, glowing white cracks began to form on the ground. Faint screams could be heard from outside as they formed.

"What the hell is happening?"

Keon was running the track of the football field, breathing hard, sweat pouring down his face. The sun was beating down on him and his teammates as they were in the middle of their first football practice for the upcoming season.

"Keep on moving gentlemen! Three more laps and then you can rest!" their coach called from the sidelines.

They've been at it since early in the morning, and they were all starting to get a little tired and worn out. Training started with stretches, push-ups, sit-ups, suicides across the football field, tackling practice, and as always ended with a two-mile run around the track.

Keon tried to keep a steady pace to make sure he didn't completely burn out, "Three more laps to go, you got this Keon," he whispered under his breath.

"I don't know why coach always goes so hard on the first practice?" somebody said from beside him.

Keon turned his head to see one of his teammates catch up to his pace, "You know him, he's got to make sure you guys didn't slack off too much," he joked.

Wayne laughed at that, but stopped when their coach bellowed out, "Farmer, Coleman, this isn't chit chat time!"

Wayne rolled his eyes and waved him off before he started to pick up his pace and pass Keon. Keon just shook his head and picked his own pace up a bit, that was until the ground started to shake violently beneath him, "What?"

"Earthquake! Get away from the bleachers, center of the field!" Their coach commanded.

Keon was about to follow them but couldn't when white cracks in the earth made their way into the field. Pain screams came from them, and were growing louder with each shake, "What the fuck is happening?"

"Farmer get your ass over here!" the coach commanded.

Keon couldn't move though; he was frozen in place for some odd reason he couldn't explain. Then he saw it, hands started to form in the cracks, reaching out and grabbing at the ground for leverage. They strained as they tried to pull themselves out, followed by twisted limbs and more screams.

It wasn't long before a full creature was out, and Keon was petrified from what he saw. It was tall with pale white skin and visible purple veins running throughout its body. Its neck was torso was also eerily twisted and bent, its head lacked any facial features and was also bent grotesquely. It was clad in black and white armor that didn't seem to cover much but its chest.

"W-What the fuck?"

In a white void in a dimension parallel to Shay View mysterious entities were aware of what was happening in the city.

"What we have always feared has finally come to pass, the Zoí Kai Thánatos have been released," a deep male voice echoed from the void that turned red the second he began to speak.

"Who would ever do such a thing?" A different male voice asked. The void turned yellow.

"Didn't they know what would happen?" A third male voice asked right after, the same voice from Ivanna's dream. The void turned blue with his voice.

"Whether the culprit did or not, that's not our concern. Our concern is dealing with the Zoí Kai Thánatos before it is too late," the first voice explained.

"How will we do that? We are no longer part of the human world; we have no power there." the second voice pointed out.

"We might not have power there, but our powers are still present. Passed down to our descendants. They will be the ones to seal the Zoí Kai Thánatos back," the third voice explained, "Lucky for us, they are not far from each other or the source of the threat."

"Bring them here, now!" the first voice commanded, "Time is of the essence."

"Fuck, Fuck, Fuck!" Matthew panted as twisted figures started to come from the glowing cracks and make their way over to him and Dylan in the car.

"What the hell are those things?" Dylan asked. He then screamed at the top of his lungs when they started to attack the car. They punched at the windows, cracking them, trying to get at the two boys inside, "How can they even see? They don't have eyes!"

"Dylan, drive," Matthew said.

"Drive, drive where?"

"I don't know just fucking drive!" Matthew commanded, and Dylan took heed. He stepped on the gas pedal and rammed the vehicle into the creepy creatures and out of the parking lot. The creatures followed after them at high speeds, as more creatures climbed out of cracks in the streets before them.

"What the fuck is happening?" Dylan screamed.

Matthew couldn't answer as he looked at the twisted creatures following them and attacking a few civilians that were in this part of town.

"Matthew," Matthew heard a voice say in his head.

"Did you hear something?" Matthew asked.

"What no, what are you talking about?"

Matthew as going to try and forget it, but then he heard the same voice again in his head calling his name, "Matthew, come here Matthew."

"What the hell, who's there?" Matthew asked now freaked out.

"Matthew, who are you talking to?" Dylan asked when the tires got blown out by one of the twisted creatures throwing a spear at it, "Holy shit!"

He stopped the car in the middle of the street and Matthew looked around for any safe place to hide. Dylan spotted an old convenience store and jumped out of the car, "Come on Matthew!"

He said as ren ran over to the store banging on the door for someone to let them in, the twisted creatures were approaching fast. A clerk saw and hurried Dylan in, Matthew was about to follow when the voice sounded in his head, "Matthew, come here! We need you."

"Matthew come on!" Dylan cried, but he was frozen. Dylan was about to go drag him in the store, but the clerk wouldn't let him leave and closed the door. Matthew was now alone outside as the twisted creatures grew closer. Matthew saw to see them coming and ran in the opposite direction, faster than he ever has before.

"Shit, shit, shit!"

"Matthew come here. You will be safe!" the voice said once again. When it finished his sentence, a yellow portal opened before Matthew, "Come Matthew."

He didn't know if it was the fear of the twisted monsters or just the confusion of it all, but for some reason, Matthew trusted the voice. Looking behind him to see the twisted freaks running towards him he took a deep breath and ran through the portal which closed right behind him.

Ivanna was backed up to the corner of the hallway as the shaking continued. Her eyes widened when from the windows she started to grotesque twisted creatures start to climb from the ground. Their screams pierced through the air and shook Ivanna to the core. Luckily for her, they didn't seem interested in entering the building, but they were going crazy outside. She could see them attacking people, children, families, cars, anything that moved, and they could get their hands on.

Terrified she didn't want to move in fear that they might notice her moving and crash through the window. She was also terrified though that they would somehow notice her family in her grandparent's apartment, "What the hell am I going to do?"

She decided to crawl over to the apartment, stay low so they won't see her. The ground was still shaking, and she had to be careful not to get hit by anything falling, or broken glass. That was easier said than done though when she nearly bit her tongue off when she cut the palm of her hand on a shard of glass, "Shit!"

She made sure not to scream in fear that she might somehow draw attention to herself, "Got to get to them," she muttered as she continued her crawl down the hallway.

"Ivanna," she froze when she heard the voice, the same voice from her dream, "Ivanna, come here!"

"What? Who are you?" she asked warily.

"That does not matter. You must come here."

"What why? I need to get to my family."

"They will be fine Ivanna. You must come here."

"What are you talking about? Come where?"

Right after she asked that a bright blue portal opened in front of her, "What the…"

"Come through the portal Ivanna, we need you."

"B-but my family-" She got cut off though from the voice.

"If you want to save your family, you must come through the portal."

Ivanna hesitated, she looked past the portal where the apartment door was and the back at the portal. What should she do, follow the voice or go stick with her original plan? She couldn't explain why, but as creepy as the voice was, she felt that she could, that she needed to trust what it was saying.

"Here goes nothing," she said as she crawled into the portal just before her, and it closed behind her.

Almost reflexively Keon kicked the twisted creature down to the ground, as more climbed from the depths of the crack. He punched one that tried to sneak up at his side and kicked another who grabbed at his leg as it climbed out. He turned to see his teammates fighting for their own lives as the creatures began to them and the coach. Thinking fast Keon jumped over the crack and emerging monsters and ran over to the group. He pounced on one's back and put it in a headlock, trying to snap its neck.

His efforts were futile though as the creature snapped its own neck to slip out of his grip and set it back in pace. Keon was then bombarded from multiple creatures. He fell on his back to knock them out and kicked up to knock two more out in front of him, "Wayne let's go!" Wayne called back.

His teammates were fighting them off, swinging punches and kicks, as they tried to run back to the gym building. Keon followed after them and saw one of these creatures hold up a spear to throw at one of them. He quickly ran over to that creature and wrestled the spear out of its hands and stabbed it through its gut. He then swung and started to fight more of the creatures off so his teams could escape, "What the hell is going on?"

More and more creatures started to rise, and it was harder for Keon to handle them. He was already tired from practice and it was overwhelming him. His palms were sweaty, and he was losing his grip on the spear as they got closer, swinging it wildly to keep them back.

"Keon, such a valiant fighter," the sudden sound a voice in his head. Keon nearly lost his fitting and just nearly dodged another attack.

"Come here Keon, if you truly want to protect your friends," it said then a red portal formed a few feet behind him.

Keon looked back at the portal; his teammates had made their way into the school building for safety. He looked at all the creatures gave a few more swings of the stolen spear before he ran back and into the portal without question, as it closed behind him.

In the forest the two figures stood in front of the mountain, the once small crack was now a large deep cave with a glowing white on the inside. The taller with the orb in his hand was leaning against his daughter, breathing hard. White cracks were extending from the cave to the city.

"Finally, it is done father." his daughter said.

"Close, but not yet My Little, there is still one last thing we have to do inside the cave," he said as he started to walk into the caves, "Then nobody will be able to stand in our way."

Three portals opened in the mysterious white void, red, blue, and yellow. Keon, Ivanna, and Matthew fell out of each portal completely frazzled from what they had just experienced.

"What the fuck?" Matthew grunted as he landed. He slowly got up to his feet and looked over at the other two who had landed with him, "Who are you guys?"

Keon got to his feet next and answered first, "Keon"

"Ivanna," she said. When she got up to her feet and looked around. Her heart skipped a beat, "Wait, I've been here before."

"You have, where are we?" Matthew asked.

"I don't know."

"Do you know how we get out of here at least?" Keon asked when he noticed that the portals who brought them here have disappeared.

"I don't."

"It's so creepy and echoey," Mathew said as he started to walk around.

"Yeah, why are we here exactly?" Keon asked.

As soon as he asked that the void flashed a mix of red, blue and yellow. The fog on the ground dissipated to reveal a golden floor encrusted with three rows of red, blue and yellow gemstones and two more rows that were completely clear. Golden columns rose from the ground creating a rectangle around them. Across from them at the end of the columns, a large golden wall appeared with a mirror, and five gemstones embedded on top, the same colors as before.

Behind the wall with the mirror three large and magnificent statues of ancient warriors ready for battle. The one in the middle was armed with a spear, the one to its right had an ax, and the one to its left had a club with sharp edges at its sides. The sky was still a mix of red, blue and yellow as the teenagers looked around with a mix of awe, confusion, and fear.

"What the fuck?" Keon asked his breath, "Where are we?"

"We can answer those questions for you." a deep male answered, though it seemed to come from the statue with a spear, its eyes were glowing red.

"Did, did that statue just speak?" Matthew asked, as he slowly stepped behind Ivanna and Keon who only nodded.

"W-who are you?" Keon asked, stepping a few steps forward.

"Don't worry, there is no need to be afraid," The statue with a club said, eyes glowing blue.

"All your questions will be answered," the third with an ax said, eyes glowing yellow. Then the light from each of their lines shot from the statue flew around the area for a while before the flew straight into the mirror. Each light forming an ethereal image of the warrior with an aura of the colors around them.

The warrior with a spear had dark brown skin and short brown hair, "I am Makmaak."

The warrior with the club had olive skin with long black hair, "I am Itzamna."

The warrior with an ax had light skin with wild blonde hair, "I am Zaubern."

They then spoke in unison, "We are the divine council. You are in our temple, and you have been chosen to save the world."

The teens looked at each other then back at the mirror. Matthew was the first to speak up, "Come again?"
