Rating: PG
Disclaimer: I don't own anything or anyone associated with Lost or the game Zero Wing.
Summary: Locke and Boone find the real secret of the island.
Note: This is something short and stupid I wrote in school today. I apologize in advance; it might make you lose a few brain cells.
Acknowledgements: I'd like to thank all the wonderful people who reviewed my last story, 'The Luau.' Glad you liked the ending. :-)
Warning: If you have NOT seen the All Your Base cartoon DO NOT READ THIS FIC! Instead, go to allyourbasearebelongtous (dot) com, watch the toon, then come back and read the fic.
Rant: I realize that Locke and Boone may be a little OOC. Deal with it.
Okay, now on to the story.
In A.D. 2101 war was beginning.
:cough: Sorry, nevermind.
It was another day of staring at the hatch for Locke and Boone. They took occasional breaks to try and dig it out, but mostly
they just stared. Staring and digging; that's pretty much all they'd done for the past week, and they had no more of an idea as
to how to open it now than they had had seven days previous.
One day, that changed.
"Locke, come quick!" called Boone. "I've found some writing on the side of the hatch!" Locke rushed over to see what Boone
had found and knelt beside the hatch to read.
"4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42..."
"What do you think it means?"
"I don't know," said Locke. "Oh, well. It's probably not important. Keep digging."
A little while later...
"Locke! I've found some more writing!" Boone called.
"This better not be any more seemingly-random-yet-very-mysterious number sequences," he warned.
"It's not, but it's really weird." Locke knelt down beside the hatch to read the words imprinted on its side.
"'All your base are belong to us,'" Locke read aloud. "That sounds deep. It must be important."
Suddenly, the hatch opened, startling Lock and Boone. The two men backed up, and watched as amidst a dramatic amount of
smoke arose a badly-animated 80's video game character.
Boone: It's you!
Cats: How are you gentlemen! All your base are belong to us. You are on the way to destruction.
Locke: What you say!
Cats: You have no chance to survive make your time. Ha ha ha ha...
Locke and Boone looked at each other, then at the badly-animated 80's video game character, then back at each other. Then
they started laughing. As they walked away almost in tears from laughing so hard and leaving behind a very confused
badly-animated 80's video game character, they knew that the real mystery of the island had been solved.
Told you it was short and stupid. Please review anyway.
