The annual Halloween Ball for the Knights and their families at Hellsing was in full swing. Arthur gazed about taking in the myriad of costumes. It was always interesting, and often times utterly hilarious, to see what people came up with.
Islands was a prime example, the man stood there, trying to look a grave and serious, while decked out as Gawain, his wife, a sweet, if not all that bright lady, kept having to dodge his sword as it swung about. Considering the fact that he was already three sheets to the wind and endeavoring to dance to the music without moving his feet meant that the poor lady was kept quite on her toes.
He shook his head, trying to avoid yawning. That sort of thing was entertaining for only so long and these parties were deadly dull, when as the host he was expected to stay at least mildly sober, which was just plain cruel if you asked him.
A sudden commotion coming from the stairs attracted the Hellsing heads attention, thankfull for anything to occupy his woefully sober hours. Ah, commotion, undoubtedly it would be Alucard then. As Walter often said, that one never passed up a chance to make a spectacle of himself.
Then the crowd parted and he saw exactly what sort of spectacle had been made he decided he would entirely blame his drinking, regardless of him still being sober, for doubling over laughing.
Standing there, entirely unconcerned with the whispers was Alucard, in full Vlad Tepes warlord regalia, complete with armour, cloak, sword and what not, this by itself was nothing unusual, the vampire was quite fond of reminding the Knights just who he'd been.
Walter was a different story entirely. He was wearing tailor fitted tuxedo, complete with tails and white gloves, with a sprig of amaranth blossoms decorating his buttonhole. Considering that this was a costume party, Arthur could only figure he was dressed as a groom.
Arthur shook his head. Oh boy, the connotations of that, well, he honestly couldn't say he really cared, though he wondered if Walter would still be human by morning after this little stunt.
The possessive gleam in Alucard's eyes suggested not.
