REMEMBERING THE PAST
The rain was falling heavily, hitting a glass window. The streets were deserted and the sound of raindrops could be heard from miles away. The dim light from the light post illuminated a dark room. The room was plain in design. There was a small bed with a shelf on its left side. The shelf was made of birch wood and on top was a vase with flowers of all kind. There were a few electronic devices but to many to mention. In the middle of the room was a old man in a wheelchair and he was wearing clothes intended for a patient. His hair was white as snow and his eyes were blue as the sea. He was sitting quitly switching the TV channal, trying to find something interesting to watch. While switching the channals the TV screen went blank. Only a silver screen was displayed on the TV screen. The rain began to fall more fearcly. The old man remained there sitting calmly and began to reminicant of a simmiliar situation. A long time ago he was talking to his misstres. She was beautiful, in fact the most beautiful women in his eyes. He loved her blue eyes and black hair. He treasured every single perfect inperfection. He renember when they were walking the now abandond street and when the rain began to fall on them, they hid underneat an old oak tree. The rain kept falling for hours on end and the only thing that keept them entertain were the tales they told. After the rain subsided they remained there talking, not noticing that the rain has stopped falling. when he leaned in they shared their first kiss but not the last. He renembers when he propose to her in a small bar where they met and the wedding were he made fun of his friends who were still single. He renembers his woews and the smile she had on her face when he said: "I do". He renembers waiting in the hospital room waiting for the doctor for the big news. When the doctor came he said the words that changed his life:"It a girl". When he saw his wife holding their newborn daugter, tears of joy began to escape from his eyes. He renembers when he was teaching his daughter to ride a bike and when she outgrowed the bike he once peddled. He renembers when she had her first boyfriend and the akward meating between them but who knew that he was perfect for his litlle girl. He renembers when she had to leave the nest and go on her own jouney and when she returned she didnt call him father but granpa, while he was holding his grandson. That was the moment that captured his life. It was a picture of happines and looking back at that moment he realised something. He was the richest person arounf. There isnt and never will be the amount of money that can buy what he had. As he was sitting alone in the dark room he smiles fondly at the memories. The TV he was watching was turned off and he was slowly beggining to close his tired eyes. When he closed his eyes he saw he was no longer the old man who was sitting alone in a dark room, but a younger version of himself. The only thing he saw was pure whiteness. No matter how much he turned there was nothing around him. Then he heard a soft voice, like a angels voice. He quickly turned around and saw her. The girl who he had met in the bar, the girl he had swored woews to, the girl became his and remained his thought all those years was here, wearing the same white drees from their wedding. She was smilling gently and said sofly:
"Welcome back"
