I disclaim
"Are you kidding me, Ron? Why would you write lies on mugs?" Ginny Weasley said, incredulously while holding up a tea mug that said 'I (heart) Harry Potter'. She successfully suppressed her blush, because Harry was sitting diagonal her next to Ron.
Ron was unsuccessfully suppressing his laughter. "No, Ginny, I am not." Then he burst into a full on laughing fit. Ginny looked ready to kill. Who knows, she might.
"Ron, if you would like to live, start running now." Ron's face changed from one of amusement, to one of absolute fear.
"Ginny, its okay. Look what Hermione got me." Harry held up a tea mug that said 'I (heart) Ginny Weasley'. Harry was smiling, though. Ginny turned to glare at the bushy-haired bookworm, who pointedly ignored her.
"Ginny, it's okay because it is kind of true." Harry said shyly. Ginny couldn't believe what she just heard. So, she thought she didn't hear it.
"Haha, very funny, Harry." Ginny said, faking a grin. He couldn't be serious. She never expected he would joke about it, but she wouldn't let on.
"I am not joking Ginny. Unless your mug is a lie?" Harry said, He sounded a bit nervous. He isn't, right?, Ginny thought.
"I don't know." Ginny said. Hermione and Ron had stopped what they were doing and were watching intently.
Harry frowned. "Can I talk with you for a moment, Ginny? Outside?"
She nodded. Ron's mouth was hanging open, but Hermione didn't look surprised in the least. She looked smug.
Outside, Harry didn't know what to say. And then, he improvised. Which, for him means he said something blatantly.
"Do you still love me?"
"I-I don't... I had… a …c-crush…a-awhile ago...but… I uh….."She was cut of by Harry stepping forward, sliding his arm around her waist, pulling her close and crashing his lips down against her's. Shocked was an understatement for Ginny at this point.
"I love you." He mumbled against her lips. Conflicted. That was the right word to describe Ginny Weasley at that moment. She had pined after this guy for years and then, he is suddenly interested? And says he loves her? What gives? Ginny thought.
Harry pulled back and smiled like a doofus. "I have wanted to do that for a while. Will you answer my question?"
"Um… Yes. I still love you. But why now?" She asked, after a moment's hesitation.
"I have loved you for the past year. I started liking you when you were kidnapped by Tom Riddle. I was crazy with worry when you were taken. I thought I would never see you again."
"Why now?" She asked again.
"That mug Ron got you provided the perfect leeway to tell you. I wanted to tell you today anyhow. I was hoping you would be my girlfriend. Will you? It's Christmas." Harry said with a huge smile. He rested his forehead on hers and kept his hand around her waist.
"What a perfect present." Ginny smiled and kissed him again, saying yes.
That was really lame. I will be recreating this with a slightly altered plot line and string of events. I had two ideas for the same base plot! I am a weirdo. I have too many thought. Thanks for reading! Hope you liked it!
