Disclaimer: I don't' own anything...it's all Lucas's stuff.

Note: Takes place on Alderaan. Leia is around 4 years old.

Leia's POV:

Nana was nervous. Nana was actually my mommy, but daddy says that I have to call her nana. I didn't understand why everyone is running, but Nana was carrying me down the hallway to my room. She sat me on my bed and hugged me tightly, kissing my forehead. "Leia, baby," she said with tears in her eyes, "Whatever happens, don't say a thing, OK?" I nodded as a man wearing a black suit walked into the room.

Vader's POV:

There she was. The love of my life. If only things had worked out differently...no, she would never have joined me at the emperor's side. She was to strong, too stubborn. She stood up and stared at me. "Padme, where is our son?" I asked, the harsh sounds obviously shaking her.

"You'll never find him, Anakin. Don't even try."

Anakin...I hadn't heard that name for a long time. I shook it off quickly. It was amazing. I am the most powerful being in the universe, and this former queen and senator can still intimidate the hell out of me.

"Join with me Padme. We can rule together."

"Don't you try to screw up my mind any more than you already have, Anakin!"

She bent over, reached down into her boot, and pulled out a blaster. She turned to the young girl sitting on the bed. It was Bail's daughter.

"Leia, it has been an honor serving you."

Leia's POV:

Nana looked at me with tears streaming down her cheeks. She kissed me on the cheek as the moist drops stopped coming. Nana bowed her head and turned around to face the black man.

Anakin's POV:

I pulled out and ignited my lightsaber, thinking that Padme might try to shoot me. I was foolish, she would never had done that. Instead, quivering, she raised the blaster to her temple.

"Remember this, Anakin Skywalker...I loved you, I lived for you. You were my light. I spent my whole life protecting others, my people. But you...you were the one who was supposed to protect me, take care of me. You failed miserably. You said that the old Anakin Skywalker died. Well, I guess I'll give him another chance in the afterlife."

Padme pulled the trigger before I could get a word in. She slumped into a heap on the floor. I looked at the young girl, shaking and tears pouring down her face. She looked so much like Padme. I couldn't stand it anymore. I turned and walked out of the room.

Leia's POV:

Nana was gone, dead. The black man killed her. I jumped off of my bed and curled up next to her. I ignored all of the blood, just looking at her hurt.

"Mama!!! Come back, please!"

I took her hand and looked at it for a moment. For the first time, I noticed the other ring. She always wore her's and daddy's wedding ring, but this one was different. Just then, I turned my attention to the doorway. The black thing who killed my mommy was standing there, watching me. He shook his head, looked at me, and walked away.
