Home isn't something Genjo Sanzo thinks about often; people are stupid everywhere, including at home, and dwelling on that would only irk him. So the violent blond monk startles even Cho Hakkai when he responds to the quartet's conversation about homes with, "Home isn't a place; it's the people." They have a mere moment to blink and stare in awe, and then their irritable human comrade folds his arms and adds, "People are stupid. You three included." As all three narrow their eyes and two prepare to speak, Sanzo finishes with, "At least you're consistent. The sheer amount of problems you cause is staggering, but you finish what you start and you don't run away and you really don't know how to die."
This last, however backhanded, is a compliment. A high compliment, coming from Sanzo.
