The hero watched as his camp, his old life crumbled in flames. Trudging through the ruins of his old camp, he called out to his friend.
"Leo, you can come out now. They know what truly happened." He called tiredly. He turned around without looking as a small figure crawled out of the wreckage of what once was the Big House.
The elfish looking boy coughed up some smoke, and stumbled behind the hero, weak flames flickering all around his body. As the weary duo walked, they noticed something odd. There were screams echoing through the air. Rather than the victorious yells that usually accompany a big victory of a war, these sounded angrier.
Percy's POV
"The traitors must die!" came a voice that I recognized with a shudder as my younger half-brother, Doug.
A pair of footsteps came before the mob of sounds. Grover and Piper came running in, their faces streaked with grime and blood.
"Percy! Leo! The gods have gone nuts! They claim that the Seven and the Council are threats to their reign, and they want to kill us all! Jason… Jason and Annabeth went to their side and tried to kill me. Perc, they got Hazel and Frank."
I was shocked and sickened, but I couldn't break down now. We had better things to do, like survive.
They came around the bend, straight into a series of traps set by Leo at the last second. Green flames came into the sky, and several dying screams were heard as we dashed away.

Several months later, the heroes were low on steam, food, nectar, ambrosia, and weapons. Piper and Leo were supporting Grover, who had a nasty cut on his stomach that wouldn't heal, and Percy was facing his doom. The cruel irony was whom the gods had sent to kill them. The Minotaur, Medusa, Circe, a hydra, 30 hellhounds, and the Furies stood above him. He backed up a bit more, and felt the back wall of the alleyway press against his back. Just when it looked bad enough, a Golem fell from the sky.
Surprisingly, the Golem turned its back to them, facing the monsters.
"The master has ordered his personal posse to protect them. Begone."
"How do we know you tell the truth?" Medusa said hesitantly.
A dragon, humanoid cloud, and automaton dropped from the sky, as the golem grew rocky jetpacks out of his back. They all charged into battle at once, as the monsters all said the same thing at once before being killed.
"The Chaos Patrol!"

After the monsters had all been returned to Tartus,
