Prologue
Stumbling into their room into the bunker Sam Winchester lays the dead body of his brother down on his bed. His brother, Dean Winchester, easily considered one of most, if not the most, powerful Hunters in the world certainly did not look it right now. His face sported several cuts do to his vicious fight with the Arcangel Metatron; his body broken and the worse is the stab to the center of his chest from Metatron's blade. Despite all of his pleas; all his cries for Castiel to come and help him he never came and now his brother is gone.
Now sitting in the dark in the common room of the Bunker Sam drinks. With in several minutes he easily drinks three large glasses; though in the back of his mind he still easily hears that tells him no amoubt of alcahol will bring his brother back. As he pours his fourth frink he hears a new voice telling him hat he has to do; by the time he finishes the drink he knows what he has to do. Now in the back storage room, the same one where the kept Crowley hidden for months before freeing him, he now sets up a spell to summon the very king of hell himself. Vowing to whoever will hear that he will bring his brother back, or forfeit his life as penance. With the cerenony ready he picks up both matches for the final step and an angel blade for potentially killing Crowley.
However even before he decided to cast the ritual events were in motion that Sam could never have forseen.
Standing in the door way to Dean's roon Crowley, the King of Hell, enters and sits patiently in a chair. He would never admit it but he did admire the Men of Letters for the unrivaled amount of pure knowledge that they had collected over the years. The number of prophecies they possessed, spells, stories, both true and false, and just over all general knowledge. Entering he takes a seat in a nearby chair; he just sits there admiring Dean even as he feels Sam begining to summon him to make a deal; a summoning that for the first time in a long time he is ignoring. Not because he doesn't want the chance to take Sam's soul to hell in exchange for a deal; after all he may be the king of Hell, but at his heart he'll always be a crossroad demon and for the first time their is something far more important than making a deal.
He looks over Dean's lifeless body. He assures his corpse that he didn't and has never lied to him everl though he does admit he left out certain potential details. He tells him one of the final legends about Cain as he run his fingers over the First Blade. As he walks toward him telling him about how he felt that miracles do come true and he put the legendry weapon in the hand of its new Master. He enourages him wih his voice to open hi eyes and go take a howl at the moon. He waits anxiously until finally Dean Winchester, vessel to the Archangel Micheal, the ultimate hunter, and hummanity's greatest champion opens his eyes to reveal to those of a demon.
