Hooch?

It was their first case as a married couple. Castle and Beckett had returned to the precinct after investigating the crime scene in the park, the murder board had been started, and they were heading to the elevator, going to look at the next possible source of information.

As the elevator doors closed, Castle asked mischievously, "So what is about me that reminds you of Hooch?"

Beckett pushed the button to open the door before they had even pushed the one for their floor.

"What was that for? You don't want to tell me?" he teased, following her out of the elevator.

She stopped suddenly, and Castle bumped into her lightly before he could stop.

Smiling, she turned around and quietly told him, "Well, for one thing, you follow me around…right on my heels a lot."

He held both hands up, palms out and backed up a little.

As they walked toward her desk, she added, "You distract me while I'm working…and when the elevator doors closed you kissed my neck…and you were sniffing me, weren't you?"

"Guilty," he admitted with a good-natured grin. "You smell nice. Not likely to stop."

She leaned across her desk to grab the car keys she came back for then turned and caught him ogling her backside. Her eyebrows arched as she joined him. "And sometimes you drool…figuratively, of course…like right now."

"Okay," he answered, leaning in to keep it between them. "I admit to a few similarities, but that, just then? I married it. I get to stare."

"And I'd probably be disappointed if you didn't."

They re-entered the elevator, and as the doors closed, she assured him. "But that's where the similarities end. Don't even want to think about kissing Hooch."

"You came up with all that on the fly, didn't you?" he asked, pressing the lobby button.

"Yeah," she answered with a grin. "How'd I do?"

"That's its own kind of sexy…that you can do that," he answered with an appreciative little growl.

They both grinned and reached for each other, then they seized the moment to take advantage of the most kissing they could squeeze in before the doors opened again.
