Here we have a normal spiral galaxy. At a glance all is peaceful, but if you happen to look again you will notice that…..There is only war!

Here in an out of the way corner of the Impirium lies a small green world, its lush green countryside Marks it as an agri-world. Close enough to the local sun to sustain life, but have no polar icecaps. It has instead 2 forests of unimaginable proportions. This forest has trees so large that it makes the redwoods of terran legend look like twigs in comparison. This duel environment has caused the local population to schism into two different societies, The "Civilized" plains dwellers and the "Tribal" forest dwellers. This schism had caused warfare to break out between the two.

This caught the eye of the Ruinous Powers who whisked away a baby that the God-Emperor had dubbed Primarch 2-Setanta and deposited his cradle on that war torn planet which the locals had dubbed Dluth Talamh or Tala as a shortened version. Setanta was found by The chieftain of the forest people or Ardors whose name was Conochbar, Who looked upon him as a gift from the universe, Conochbar then took young Setanta home as his son. Under the tutelage of the Ard-Ri the young Setanta learned the Ways of the Hunter (the bow and small spear), Priest (the mace) and Warrior-Poet (the sword, shield and large spear).

Setanta had absorbed all this knowledge like a sponge and the Ard-Ri had nothing left to teach him by age 15. At once the young Primarch set out to prove his prowess in the forests by hunting the Great Boar or Mor Collach the greatest of the beast of the forest. Before Setanta could complete his quest he was ambushed and his men cut down around him. He was captured and eventually taught the ways of the plains dwellers. A kind soldier had taken it upon him to show the young boy the Way of the Soldier, how to shoot a gun and how to listen to the radio for coded messages.

By age 20 the young Primarch had learned all they could teach him and had grown into a giant of a man, At 9 feet tall and 6 feet wide at the shoulder the Primarch could break a man's neck with but a flick of his mighty fingers. He had grown to love and understand both factions of this bloody civil war and sought peace for all. It would not be so until one fateful day when he was caught between 2 armies one from the forest and one from the plains. He was hit by an artillery shell and had been pierced by a large spear from the Bastard son of the Ard-Ri. He tied himself to a standing stone and bled, it is said he bled so much that the great Shannon flowed red for a month. As he was uttering his final words The Emperor teleported in front of him and saw the carnage inflicted upon his son and wept. He grabbed Setanta and made his way back to his ship where Setanta was kept alive by The Emperors personal apothecary until a great dreadnought was produced to fit his large frame, it would dwarf a normal dreadnought standing at Sixty feet tall and Thirty feet wide he became a memorial to the fact that peace can only be attained through the spilling of blood.

In the years that followed The Emperor created The Hounds Of Culann. These Space Marines were taller than normal because they inherited the great height of their Primarch. They also tended to grow blue spiral patterns under their skin due to abnormal pigmentation development during the Induction process. They built their great Fortress Monastery upon the clearing where their Primarch's famed wounding had occurred. As the millennia flew by the Chapter had become known as the defenders of the weak and as the most honorable of the chapters. This is the Story of the three newest recruits into this hallowed history.
