A/N: Guys, I really apologize for the IMMENSE lack of updates recently... I haven't been very motivated for my other stories because I think I'm more suited to writing oneshots than stories with multiple chapters. If you guys want to know my full explanation, you can go on my FF-related Tumblr.
I mustered enough will to write a Valentine's Day 1827 fic, though, for you guys. But again, I'm sorry. So I'll make it up to you guys with this fanfic! Now, on we go!
Tsuna woke up to an empty bed. His sleep-hazed eyes gazed at the pillow on the other side of the bed for a few moments before he realized no one was there. Instead of panicking, the brunet smiled peacefully and sat up, stretching luxuriously. A small sound came from the kitchen and Tsuna stood, dressed in an oversized t-shirt and loose sweatpants.
He rubbed at his caramel brown eyes as he walked into the kitchen to see Hibari making breakfast.
"Kyo-chan, morning..." Tsuna mumbled tiredly and the tall skylark turned with a slight half-smile on his face.
"Good morning, Tsunayoshi." As Tsuna stumbled into a table he came forward and placed a short kiss on his lips, wrapping his arms around the shorter man. Tsuna pulled away and yawned, rubbing his temples.
"What are you doing, Kyo-chan?" The brunet asked, a bit more awake. Hibari answered by taking a plate of food off the counter and handing it to Tsuna. Tsuna smiled brightly when he saw the contents, making the skylark's heart skip a beat. Hibari was reminded of why he'd fallen in love with the clumsy brunet in the first place as he saw his reaction to the simple food.
"Kyo-chan, you remembered I like fried eggs!" He exclaimed in surprise. He carefully put the plate down and threw his arms around Hibari, who chuckled and planted a kiss on his small lover's head, moving to sit down on a chair and pulling the brunet onto his lap.
"Of course I did, carnivore." Tsuna rested his head on the skylark's chest, just listening to the slow, steady beat, and stayed like that. After a few minutes, Tsuna had almost been lulled back into a doze. With the almost complete silence besides the steady beat of Hibari's heart, he was incredibly relaxed.
"Whoa, carnivore. Don't fall asleep." Hibari said, propping him up. Tsuna blinked a couple times and moved off of the raven-haired man's lap, pulling the plate closer to him. The small brunet finished the fried eggs quickly and grabbed a glass of water, downing it quickly. Then he looked up at Hibari, who'd been watching silently, with a smile that turned into a frown (Hibari thought it looked more like a pout).
"Kyo-chan, you should get more sleep." Tsuna hummed disapprovingly, huffing as Hibari looked at him in amusement. "I'm serious! We've all barely been getting enough sleep as it is and we've been overloaded by issues with the smaller famiglias. You should at least sleep as much as you can."
Hibari smiled faintly and this one was a smile of bloodlust.
"If the herbivores are causing trouble for my famiglia, I'll bite them to death." He smirked, but it was a cruel, cold smirk. Tsuna didn't flinch, instead taking Hibari's hands and holding them tightly in his. Hibari looked at him questioningly and Tsuna leaned forward to kiss him.
"Thank you for caring, Kyo-chan." He said earnestly, looking at his lover with wide gentle eyes. Hibari smiled softly.
"You're welcome, Tsunayoshi."
A/N: Done. Anyways, you can check out my Tumblr from my profile page. Thanks, you guys!
