To The Mirai You And The Kako Me

Hi everyone ^_^ it feels like it's been so long since I've written a fanfic, truth be told I really missed it but I just didn't have time. Now I do!

Disclaimer: I do not own Gintama or I am merely an unworthy fanfictionist trying to share sadistic humour with the world ;)

Prologue:

The ruins that used to be the ancient and futuristic town of Edo were now back to normal as if nothing had ever happened. Maybe it never had to begin with.

Only two people would ever know the truth to it. And as lives went on so did theirs.

It was this particular day that would change the future of many, as well as bring two people closer together.

Even with the pain she kept moving, one slow breath after the next, one step after the other. She was so close she could almost touch it.

It pissed her off you know, so use to being a prized warrior, now she could barely stand without help. The pills were helping but for how long? Would they even work where she was going.

Where was she going?

Her heart seized and she clutched at her chest, ignoring the hot tears that wanted to cascade down her face. Clenching her teeth she trudged forward.

She was not a delicate flower they had to tread carefully around, she was a fighter, a winner, and a damn good one.

She had to pick up her pace, the stupid bastard would be awake by now. Searching for her. But she didn't want to be found.

This was probably the most selfish thing she had ever done in her life. Trading her life so another could live on, it sounded heroic.

Or stupid.

Gingai was waiting for her. He had a look of someone who had lost a battle. It seemed like they all did these days.

Her legs finally gave out as two strong arms caught her before she fell. How many times was she going to be held up before she really did fall.

"Are you sure about this?" The one who was like her brother asked, he tried to act cool but occasionally like at that moment his old childhood worries came pouring out.

"Ah."

The one next to him didn't say anything. He wouldn't talk her out of it she knew that much.

"Does he know?"

She shrugged.

Of course he knew.

Fixing her gaze on them one last time she touched the time machine that would send her to an Edo unlike her own, to a similar her from another past.

She could already hear the sound of rushing footsteps, the clattering of a sword and the swishing of hair.

He really should cut it.

At the last moment their eyes locked. His a deep red, hers a cerulean blue.

His mouth was forming words right as she vanished.

"CHINA!"

Bye Sadist.

So that's the prologue :) what did you guys think? Should I continue it?

I'm sorry if the characters seemed OOC I promise if I continue I'll add good ol' Gintama humour.

Let me know what you think ^_^
