Despair Verse
Ash and Pikachu
They walked stubbornly through the snow, forcing their way forwards. "We're coming guys… we're coming" the human boy cried out shielding his eyes with one hand. "Just hold on!" he hollered.
"Pi, pikachu!" his pokémon partner cried out in agreement with its trainer. They stumbled and fell into a deep snow bank the human boy shivering while the yellow mouse pokémon trembled and dug upwards through the snow. "Kaa…" it weakly cried.
"We can't stay down" the human mumbled stumbling back to his feet "we've got to do this… for those, those who didn't make it! COME ON Pikachu" he cried lifting the mouse pokémon up and out of the hole.
They continued into the storm, the wind assaulting them as they marched ever higher towards the top of the mountain. The child stopped suddenly his breath hitching as they came across a corpse covered in blood.
The corpse was of another young child, maybe just barely into their teen years and it looked like he hadn't gone down painlessly. The boy shook his head and marched onwards even as more corpses were revealed half buried in the snow.
"We will get there… there is no way we're stopping now" he growled as the snow storm intensified and both figures disappeared into the white.
