Hermione was sitting in the Great Hall reading Hogwarts: a History when her favourite Weasley came and sat next to her. As he sat down, his smell filled her nose. She smiled, her face still looking at her book. She was going to resist all urges to look at him. If she saw those brown eyes, she'd melt. He began drumming his fingers on the table waiting for her to look at him. The sound was getting to her so she placed her hand over his to stop the drumming. At the feel of her skin, he stopped drumming and squeezed her hand gently. This made her look up and into the eyes of her boyfriend – George Weasley.

Everyone thought there was something going on between Ron and Hermione but they were wrong. Hermione only had eyes for George and she was over the moon when she found out he felt the same about her. They'd been together for 5 months and couldn't be separated when they were together. Hermione knew what she had with George had been different to what she had with anyone else. He understood her; he knew what ticked her off and he used it against her when she was upset just to cheer her up. He was funny, caring and had the best personality.

"Hey there, gorgeous. You're not reading that book again are you? Aren't the pages ready to fall out yet? The hinge is looking damaged. You might need a new one. You can have mine. I don't practically like reading it. I'm more of a present kind of guy, not past." He winked and flipped his hair out of his face. She loved when he did that and he must've noticed because he leant in close to her and kissed her lips softly. She loved these kinds of kisses, where his lips would linger on hers for a few seconds then he'd pull away. She smiled and bit her lip. George looked at her and laughed before tucking a piece of hair behind her ear.

"Let's go for a walk." Said Hermione as she was placing her old book into her bag and stood up. George stood and grabbed her hand and led her out of the Great Hall and out into the front of the school. They walked down to the lake talking about just casual things until they got to a tree that was old and had many branches. Hermione and George had a great history with this tree. This is where George asked her to be his girlfriend after he found her crying. This is where they had their first kiss after Gryffindor won the Quidditch Cup. This tree had many more memories of the two and hopefully would have many more to come. George sat down then pulled Hermione down onto his lap. She giggled then wrapped her arms around his waist, hugging herself to him tightly and laying her head on his chest. He smiled and kissed her forehead. The two just sat and looked out over the lake.

"I love you, Hermione." George had said while stroking Hermione's hair.

"I love you too, George, so much. I couldn't picture my life without you." She sounded cheesy but she meant every word.

"I was wondering, maybe you'd like to come to The Burrow this summer? I'm sure Ron was going to invite you but I wanted to. And I got you something." He said as he pulled something out of his pocket.

"Of course I'll come to The Burrow, I hate spending time away from you." She saw the box. "You didn't have to get my anything." He fiddled with the box and then placed it upon her knee.
"I know I know I didn't, but I wanted to." He opened the lid and inside was a perfect silver ring with aquamarine jewels in the middle. It sparkled every time the sun hit it. Hermione was speechless.

"It's ... so ... beautiful." Was all she could manage to say before kissing George passionately. He kissed her back and took the ring out and placed it on her finger.

"Just like you." And with that finally over, the two melted into each other's arms.
