Sometimes our thoughts are in riddles too… Anzu is going over why she might love the person she likes.

A.N: I seem to be writing about Anzu a lot these days…

Enigma
She had to admit that she always fell for the wrong people. She'd fallen for one of her best friends. One with a double personality.

Perhaps that's why. She liked knowing that the person she loved was two people at the same time. She liked that he had a past he didn't know that well. That he could be…dangerous. That he could switch personalities like turning on a lightswitch. Or the possibility that he was hurt in the past and needed healing. Was it the mystery? The unknowing, that attracted her to him?

There was that too…he was undeniably handsome. With his long hair, falling around his face, those strange coloured eyes that seemed to just know everything. She wasn't even sure how. They just did. Every time he'd glance at her, she'd feel her legs turn to jelly, some weird comment fall from her lips, her heart pounding loudly in her ear. A glance that would almost tip her over into a rose-coloured dream. Maybe, she was just one of those overly romantic people who never wakened from their dreams…

But he was just as bad. He too had dreams. His dreams differed from hers though and were not always a pure meaning. He wanted something, wanted it so bad he would stop at nothing to find it, no matter who was hurt. He wanted it so badly; it hurt her too…

That didn't mean he didn't have moments when he was kind and helpful and considerate. He was that quite often, part of his Hikari way. He'd saved her countless times from danger; through perhaps he'd put her there in the first place.

It was a thrill to be anywhere he was. Something always happened. Something magical, something dark, something interesting. She longed to always be there with him. Though perhaps it would help if she looked and acted like Mai. Mai was everything he would like. Pretty, educated, dominant and driven. Would he like her more if she was more like Mai?

Or perhaps sweet Serenity? Her innocent eyes and naive behavior coupled with the emotional force that she thrived on, that she used to protect the ones she loved. Would he like her more if she were like Serenity?

She wondered if she could handle his games. Always playing games to get what he wanted. Messing with people's heads, taking no losers. Even his deck commented on the sort of person he was. Filled with strategy, magic and emotion. Hers was useless, even she knew. More of the rubbish that was said whenever he was around.

She couldn't help herself. She did the only thing she could to keep him there a few moments longer, to have him thinking of her, no matter in what context, wherever he was next. It comforted her to think he might be thinking of her.

He was like one of his games, one of his duels, a very strange puzzle. An enigma.

She just hoped she was the first and last to solve it.

Ah, yes. I know not the bounds of fluffiness. And I'm bored.

Do you know who she it is that she likes? Or is it a mystery? I'm not even sure…
