Oh the random thoughts I can get while cooking.

Dear Oliver,

You are the cheese to my Mac. Let me elaborate.

Mac & cheese are a classic pairing; can't have one without the other. And even for the period of time when one existed alone, it completely lacked in taste.

Now, I know that unlike the normal human being you are not aww-ing right now. In fact, you might be confused and upset that I used that analogy because you, of few people, know my hate for orange cheese. So that's why, like I mentioned up above, I am going to elaborate.

For a while I tried substitutes like ketchup or spaghetti sauce, but it was clear to you that it was just wrong so I simply ended up eating my Mac alone. Plain, blend Mac with nothing.

It sucked.

I thought Mac would never be enjoyable until thy finally came out with white cheddar. I had found the answer to my problems!! In fact, you remember me dancing around in the market with an endless supply of Mac & White Cheddar Cheese in my cart. It was pretty embarrassing but you never said anything.

I was finally satisfied. Or at least, I thought I was until that one day when I decided to give regular Mac & cheese another bite's worth. Maybe I'd been wrong the first time?

And that's when I realized it. The white cheddar was… good, but it wasn't right. It wasn't a classic. It wasn't Mac & cheese.

I threw away my endless supply.

From that point on, I understood that as much as I hate orange cheese in any other situation, it belongs with Mac. And you are that tangy cheese to my plain Mac. Forever and always, a classic.

Oliver glanced from the note to the blonde sitting beside him. She pretended to be paying attention to the teacher but from the hint of a smile her lips formed, he knew she'd been watching him read.

He tucked her not away and took out another piece of paper. Lilly anxiously snatched the second note from him.

Dearest Lilly,

I love you too.

PS. I, for one, always thought Mac & cheese to be a perfect meal.

I was originally going to end it at the first letter, but I wasn't sure if it made any sense XD On the side note, I used to hate Mac&Cheese too cuz I don't like the cheese, but I've gotten over it. Review? xoxCamy
