Authors Note: Hello there, I just wanted to say that the first couple chapters are going to be quite short, this is just something I've been writing when I'm bored, so don't expect anything special. I wanted to make a sequel to my "Mass Effect 3: Perfect Epilogue" fanfiction, so here it is a short 3-5 chapter story. Enjoy!

"Shepard? Wake up!"

"What?"

"It's Legion, he's crying again..."

"I'll go deal with it, you stay here, you need to get some sleep!"

Shepard then looked, at his beautiful wife Talk fall asleep right away. Shepard looked at the time, it was 5 am. Shepard walked over to the window, and looked at the sunrise coming from the horizon of Rannoch.

"Beachfront property." Shepard laughed to himself. Shepard walked upstairs to the crying child's room. "Legion? What's the matter?" Shepard asked.

Legion was the adopted quarian son, named after the geth that sacrificed himself many years ago. "Daddy, I had a bad dream again!" Legion said.

"Another one? Alright how about I tell you your favorite story?" Shepard asked.

Legion nodded in approval.

Shepard went on to tell the story of the Reaper War. Shepard went on about the beacon on Eden Prime, to becoming a spectre, to stopping Saren, to fighting the Collectors, all the way to stopping Cerberus, and the Reapers themselves. But as the story went on, Shepard got visually more, and more grim.

"Daddy, what's wrong?" Legion asked.

Shepard pondered if he should tell his kid or not.

"Well, its just, we lost so many great people during the war, people like Kaidan, Captain Anderson, and even Legion. Sometimes it's just sad to think about those things."

"We didn't lose you Daddy!" Legion yelled.

"Yeah, well we almost did."

Shepard thought back to the final battle on Earth, where he made it up the beam to the Citadel, where he made the Illusive Man see the light, and chose to destroy the Reapers, despite other options being presented to him.

"You know, your mother is the main reason I'm still here, she convinced Joker to get the Normandy up and running to come find me."

"Mommy's a hero!" Legion yelled.

"Yes, I suppose she is... Well, it's time you get some sleep. You've got a big birthday party tomorrow."

"Okay Daddy." Legion closed his eyes, and fell asleep.

Shepard got up and turned towards the door to see Tali standing there.

"That was a great story Shepard." She said.

"I'm sure you enjoyed the ending the most." He then looked at Legion.

They both laughed, and shared a kiss, before heading back to bed.
