Author's note: I can't stand stories where Harry and Ginny's reunion after the war consists of her crying and immediately forgiving him. That is not Ginny's character. So, here's just one of my many ideas of their reunion. My writing is definitely not perfect, so please feel free to constructively criticize!

Harry was a little nervous when he left Dumbledore's office. He had left Ginny for nine months; she was sure to be angry. He knew he had done the right thing, but he wasn't sure Ginny would see it that way.

He made his way up to Gryffindor Tower, where the Fat Lady gleefully let him inside. "You saved us all," she said. "We would all have perished without you."

He bit back the retort that paintings were not on his list of priorities, and entered the Common Room. It hadn't changed a bit. He sank down on one of the sofas, and called for Kreacher. With a crack, his elf apparated in front of him.

"Yes, master?"

"Uh, that was very brave of you, Kreacher. To lead the house-elves into battle."

Kreacher bowed slightly. "Anything for you, master, and for Master Regulus."

"I was also wondering if you would bring me a sandwich."

"Of course, Master."

Only moments later, Harry was about to take a bite into a delicious smelling sandwich when the portrait hole burst open and a very angry redhead burst into the room.

'Crap,' Harry thought.

"HARRY JAMES POTTER!" Ginny's yell was eerily similar to her mother's. "WHAT DID YOU THINK YOU WERE DOING?!"

She walked towards him and slapped him across the face.

"Ow what the--"

"Oh, you don't think you deserve that? After leaving m-- all of us, and then letting us think you had died? No, of course you don't deserve that." Her voice dripped with sarcasm.

Something inside him snapped. "I just saved the entire wizarding world!" he yelled. "Glad you're grateful."

"YOU saved the entire wizarding world? Did YOU die for the cause?"

Harry lost any ability to speak. He started breathing heavily. "I--" he tried.

Her face went pale. "Harry, I didn't--"

"But it's true. I--I should have been able to save them. I'm sorry Fred's gone it's my fault and--"

"Stop it," she said fiercely. "No one blames you."

"But--"

"LEAVE YOUR SELF-PITY OUT OF THIS!" she yelled, then stormed up to the girl's dormitories, where he couldn't follow.

Harry hardly slept that night, despite the fact that he hadn't slept in a few days. When he woke up, he went down to the Common Room. When he saw Ginny there, he turned to go back upstairs. He had expected her to be angry, but he wasn't in the mood for her yelling.

"Wait," she called.

Something in her voice made him turn around and make his way over to her. "I'm not in the mood," he said shortly.

"I'm sorry that I... rubbed salt in the wound. I said some things that I should't've. But Harry, do you understand why I was --am-- angry?"

"I did what I had to. Why can't you understand that?"

"I do understand... somewhat. But..." She sighed. "I didn't exactly enjoy seeing you dead. And when you left to... do whatever you did, I was scared. I was scared for you, for Ron and Hermione, but also for us here at Hogwarts. It was horrible here, the Carrows made sure of that."

"I wish you could have come with me, but it was too dangerous."

"Not too dangerous for Ron and Hermione," she said more than a little bitterly.

"They didn't give me much of a choice," he said dryly.

Harry had been standing the entire time, and now Ginny stood. They stood silently for a few seconds before she crashed her lips to his. He responded eagerly, having missed holding her close.

When she pulled back she hugged him tightly and whispered, "Never, EVER leave me again."

"I won't," he said before kissing him again
