Author's Note: for the anniversary of LICPA, wow! How has it been 3 years? How did I receive 100 reviews? HOW?! I read it over and I cringed so hard! And this story isn't any better! But I thought it would be a fun thing to put something out for you guys, so hey? Here's something.

Simple

Karma had never spoken to Manami before joining E class, he was sure of that much. That was because they were never in the same class, and she never seemed to want to talk to anybody.

He thought that was fair, the main building students were dicks.

But after witnessing her bold, straightforward attempt at poisoning the octopus, he wanted to know her.

He liked her honest and straightforward way of speaking. She didn't twist her words around or try to manipulate him.

More importantly she never feared him.

Manami trusted Karma blindly.

Some would call her foolish, but she would shake her head at them.

It didn't matter to her what people said, because she knew him. She knew how kind he could be, how much work he put into what he did.

She trusted he wouldn't use her and toss her to the side.

He came to understand all of those cheesy love songs, about how beautiful your love's eyes are, or how their laugh affects you.

He noticed the different shades of purple in her eyes, and the microscopic blush that bloomed on her cheeks when he first held her in his arms.

She couldn't breathe when he held her hand in the dark classroom. Only when she tore her eyes away from his hand over hers, and looked into amber, she felt a sudden wave of calm ease.

They leaned over the desk, their faces inches apart and spoke in whispers.

Only he could make her flustered and relaxed at the same time.

They didn't tell anybody about their relationship, they hardly needed to. For by the time they were holding hands on the way home, it was natural, a given that they were together.

Their relationship was that simple.

And that was more than enough for them.
