Chapter 1

Italy sighed contently as he held his grocery bags on the walk home. He couldn't wait to go home and see Japan. He saw something funny happen between Britain and France. He thought it would make Japan laugh. Italy giggled. Japan was the cutest thing when he didn't know what to do. When Italy tried to hug him, Japan was so flustered. He stuttered, and pushed him away, blushing as red as a tomato. Mmmmh... tomato... pasta... Soon, Italy arrived home safely.

"Japan! You won't believe it! The funniest thing happened at the store!" Italy looked at Japan. He looked troubled. "Japan, are you alright?" He asked with a hint of worry in his voice. Japan looked up. He blushed fiercely. "H-HAI!" He ran to his room. Italy walked to the kitchen, where Germany sat, writing in his battle notebook. "Germany, do you know what wrong with Japan? He's acting strangely." "He's having an emotional crisis. The best we can do is answer his questions and give him emotional support." Germany kept his eyes on his notebook as he told Italy this.

Italy sat in his room, sad that Japan has been avoiding him all day since he came from the store. When ever he tried to approach, Japan would run away. It was a bad game of tag, because he never got his hug in the end. Italy sighed and looked out his window. A shooting star passed by. Italy made a wish. I wish that Japan would stop running and let me help him out.

Italy decided to turn in for the night later that evening, confident that his wish would come true.
