The boy had no special features to his appearance, no famous status in the school,
but to her, he was everything.
His blye eyes were like the forever expanding seas, his hair was always messy,
and his smile was like sunlight on a rainy day. He was tall, strong and athletic,
she could not help but admire his patience and wit during games.
He, like many other students, had problems with his parents, and he would argue
to get his way. He would claim that he loathed his mother and father, and that
he would move out once he was 16. Deep inside though, he didn't mean it. He was
just confused, hurt and tired of the ongoing arguements that did not have an end.
Depsite all this, he would keep it all in and act like it didn't phase him at
school. She wanted so much to comfort him, to hold him in her arms and take away
all the hurt he felt inside. But she was scared, she was unsure, so she held back
all her feelings, a friend was all that he needed at the moment.
Even though they passed each other everyday, it felt as if they were on oppiste sides of an unbreakable glass wall, they could never be togehter, no matter what she did, or said. So she stood in the shadow, lending him a helping hand when needed, but never giving herself away, hoping that someday, he'll be happy once again.
