I Want To Know Everything

It was a stroke of sheer genius! How could Sora not be proud? He stood superiorly in front of the lopsided teddy bear with one purple-eyed button and the other blue. Kairi's birthday was upon him, and Sora knew that this was the perfect gift for his girlfriend. She had been particularly distant recently, something Sora could not bear to see, so he suspected that this was a great way to get closer. With a boastful chuckle to himself, he ran out of his house. Kairi was never home in the day as long as the sun was out, and it would be perfect if she found it propped up on her pillow.
After clambering up the giant oak near her window, Sora fell through the open window. He clutched the teddy bear tightly and triumphantly made his way over to Kairi's bed. He put the teddy bear directly on top of the pillow and stepped back. Tilting his head, gazing at the teddy bear, he thought, No, that won't do. How about in front of the pillow? Great! Sora then thought hard. Maybe I should fluff the pillow...
He gently scooped up Kairi's pillow and squished it. Then something caught his eye. A letter lay where the pillow was, somewhat crinkled but wide open for the world to see.
Hello darling. I love you. Meet me at midnight.
No, it wasn't his writing.
-A Week Later-
Sora shuffled and shifted a bit, then turned his head to face her. He had to squint to see her clearly. She was still smiling towards the sky. But a smile like that made Sora so insecure. What was she thinking? Was she happy to be here with him, or was she happy that she could be leading him on? He would've given anything to know what she was thinking. When he couldn't bear it any longer, he kissed her cheek softly and gave her a slightly pouty look. It was as if the kiss posed the question for him, and as a response, she chuckled a bit, turned to him and snuggled closer.
"Sora... if you ask all the questions now and you reach your destination, what are you going to do with a pile full of answers? All you can do is look at them," was what flowed from her mouth. She was shocked that she herself came up with such wise words.
"If I have the answers now, then I can rest easy."
"Well... what if there is no answer just yet? And then there's things in life called statements. Like... 'I want to be with you'. That's not a question," and with that, she kissed his forehead.
"Touche, Yuffie..."
