We were fighting so hard to keep the Toyatomi name. The final battle was at Sekigahara. Blood was being shed we were terribly outnumbered. I ordered the soldiers to retreat.
My heart was torn in two one because I had ordered a shameful retreat and two I lost my best friend, slayed by my own hand. This useless bloodshed will it ever end?
I was running as fast as my legs could take me I thought I was safe until someones iron grip grasped my body and dragged me to my soon-to-be death. I was at the place where I was to die, in front of me was the leader of the Tokugawa he stared at me with hate in his eyes I just kept a straight face trying not to show the fear inside me.
A man came and pushed me into the killing machine, the last thing I would probably see was the metal blade coming down at me. I looked up at the sky, it was cloudy. I would have never thought I were to die this way. There were so many things I wanted to see and do, I wanted to see my friends smiling faces once more, to hear that man ramble about love and peace, to see the woman that took me in as her own child, I wouldn't even mind to hear that pompous drunk do the idiotic things he did. So many things to do so little time...
The blade was being raised, my eyes started to sting with tears but I must not cry. Memories flooded through my head making my heart throb. The blade was released but the sun shined through the clouds, I chuckled and let a single tear hit the ground. The teacup shattered... Years later after the death of Mitsunari Ishida the place where his tear had fell a cherry tree grew and the land was at peace, just as Mitsunari had dreamed.
Teacup reference to "The shattered teacup" in Samurai Warriors Chronicles where the main character accidentally broke Mitsunari's favorite teacup. And in "The repaired teacup" where Mitsunari had the teacup repaired and gave it to the main character so in case he dies they could remember him.
