Matriarchal
Nami lounged in her chair on the grassy deck of the Thousand Sunny. Robin was lying next to her reading, and the rest of her nakama were spread out at their various activities. Luffy and Chopper were listening to one of Usopp's ridicules tales, Brooke was playing his violin, Franky was working on some new invention, and Zoro was sleeping. Sanji walked past, carrying something for Luffy to eat.
"Sanji-kun?" Nami asked in a slightly flirty voice, "I'm a little bit thirsty. Will you make me something to drink?"
"Of course, my lovely Nami-swan, I'll go and make you something immediately! Do you want anything, Robin-chwan?" When she nodded yes, he twirled off with a heart in his visible eye, heading toward the kitchen, only stopping to hand Luffy his snack.
The younger crew mates were now running around the deck after finishing the Sogeking tale. Nami tolerated it with a small smile until one of them hit Sanji, almost spilling her and Robin's drinks. Then they each received a bump on the head, and were told to not run into people. The captain, sharp shooter and doctor all obeyed to the navigator and sulked over to the rail, where they began to mess around again.
It probably isn't a good idea to have them that close to the rail, especially considering that two of them are hammers, she thought to herself. As if to prove her point, she looked up to see Luffy flail around with one foot on the rail, waving his arms, before falling in to the water with a splash.
"Luffy fell in!" Chopper called out in panic to the crew.
"Hey, Zoro," Nami said, poking Zoro in the shoulder with her climatact.
He looked up sleepily and asked, "What?"
"Luffy," she said simply, pointing toward Chopper and Usopp panicking by the edge of the ship. Zoro stood up, walked over and gracefully dived into the sea. When he came back up carrying a sputtering Luffy, they cheered.
"I thought I was a goner there for a second! Thanks a ton, Zoro!"
Zoro just grunted in reply and wandered back into his sunny nap spot, laying back down and closing his eyes, disregarding his wet clothes.
Nami took a sip from her fruit drink. It was wonderful, as was everything that Sanji made.
She called to Brooke, "Hey Brooke, will you play that song that I showed you?"
He complied immediately, lest he feel the wrath of her climatact. Even if you are just a skeleton, getting hit can hurt and Brooke found that out the hard way. She looked over at Franky. He was working on something that looked suspiciously like the new tool for her mikans that she had asked him to make. He said that he might not get around to it for a while, but it looked like he had made time.
Nami leaned back in her chair contentedly. Luffy might be the captain of the StrawHats, she knew, but she was the matriarch of the crew.
