This is my first story to be posted on this website, so please, go easy on me! Well after this meaningless introduction, please enjoy the story!

It had been four hours and I still hadn't seen William. I wondered what had happened to him. He had never been out reaping souls for this long. I decided to peep into his office and check if he was still in there.

I walked down the corridor and knocking on his door. No answer. "Wi~ll, are you still there?" I cried, banging on the door. Yet again, no answer, but I did hear faint snoring. I turned the handle on the door and sneaked a peek inside.

"Will, are you alright? You-," I was taken aback when I saw William alseep on his desk. I tip-toed quietly to his desk and giggled lightly. He looked so cute in his sleep! His hair was a mess, his coat was slumped down to his elbows like my own coat, and his glasses were askew. Also, his face was not in a deep scowl, but rather an almost smile.

I carefully slid off his coat and draped it over his shoulders. I removed his sleek, fragile glasses and set them on his desk. He shifted positions slightly when he heard the soft "CLINK" as I set down the rectangular spectacles. I was careful to lift up his head and slide a book under it.

He didn't seem so threatening at all, in fact, he seemed very content. It felt nice to see him not infuriated and annoyed for once. Then again, it was usually Ronald and I who drive him up the wall. I heard him mumble something that was barely audible.

It sounded like, "Grell." Why did he call my name in his sleep? Was he possibly awake? I had heard him mumble something else. "I love you."

I stood there, rooted to the spot. It had felt like hours, though in reality, it was only a few seconds. Did I hear that right? Did he truly say 'I love you'? I tripped on my red high heels and accidentally stumbled into the door.

William wriggled for a bit, then I saw one emerald green eye crack open slightly. I rushed out of his office, but left the door ajar as I hid outside of it. I let one of my bright, green eyes poke into his office.

"Damn," he cursed under his breath. "I must have fallen asleep." It's been a (very long) time since I heard him utter those words. He got up from his desk and stumbled to the floor. Apparently he didn't realize his glasses were off. God, he truly was as blind as a bat without those things.

I contemplated whether or not to help him out for a moment, then stood up, and walked into Will's office. "You ok there, William darling?" I asked as I slid his glasses off his desk.

"Go about your business, Sutcliff," was the cold reply I received. "I have no time for your games and I'm currently searching for-" I pressed the item into his hand without letting him finish. "Glasses." William concluded. He slipped them on to his handsome face and looked at me. I smiled my usual shark-toothed grin and helped him up.

"Thank you, Sutcliff," he said blankly. I grinned once more and began to leave. I stopped only for one moment and smirked.

"By the way...I love you too, William," I said with a giggle. A shocked expression was plastered onto his face. For a brief moment, I could have sworn I saw him smile. I exited William's office, satisfaction written all over my face.
