A little girl in a blue parka trimmed with white fur burst into a tent, "Mom!"
A woman in similar clothing kneeled inside. A man in the armor of black and red stood before her. Outside, it was snowing soot.
"Just let her go, and I'll give you the information you want."
"You heard your mother! Get out of here!"
"Mom, I'm scared," a girl ran into the arms of her mother, who wrapped her arms around her daughter.
"Go find your dad, sweetie. I'll handle this." In her mother's arm, a girl refused to move.
Fire burst forth, a warning from a soldier in red and black armor, though no words accompanied it. "I'll tell you, just don't hurt my daughter!"
The soldier said nothing in response.
"It's me. I'm the one you're looking for." In the arms of her mother, a girl whimpered and hugged her mom, promising to never let them take her mother away.
A daughter was ripped from her mother. A daughter watched as her mother was seized by a soldier. It was so loud, and the girl herself did not remember what she said, but she did remember what happened. At her cry, the ice cracked and shattered and snow fell outside. A soldier tossed aside the mother and seized the daughter. A daughter was dragged by a soldier while a mother scrambled after them. A mother attacked a soldier, "Run, Katara!"
A daughter ran.

Well, that was fun. I know it's a bit short, but I would consider this more of a preview than a prologue. You see, I would like the help of an ATLA fan to help proofread and suggest things for this. You see, while I have the general story planned out, the details will have to be adjusted to ensure that the characters are in-character and well-written. So please, if you are interested in helping, please PM me.
