Little Remedies
Harry was sick of everyone staring at him. He hated the way people gawked and pointed at him. It made him feel uneasy, like he was some animal in a cage.
Ginny and Ron never seemed to mind. Ginny was used to it since she was now a famous Chaser and Ron had always loved the attention. Hermione usually had her nose stuck in a book, so he didn't even think she noticed all the stares, but he did and it got to him.
That was why he found himself in front of a brightly painted purple door. He was about to knock when it swung open.
"Hello, Harry!" a voice sang out to him, "Don't worry, my Blibbering Humdinger told me you were here."
She opened the door and motioned for him to come in. He followed her through the house, careful not to knock into any of her stacked shelves or tables that were filled with all sorts of unusual, colorful trinkets.
They stopped in a familiar yellow kitchen, with lemon and lime wallpaper lining the walls. She gave a flick of her wrist and tea began to boil on the stove.
She turned to him and bit her lip, scrunching her eyes as she examined him closely before shaking her head in frustration.
"No… Too many Nargles, Harry, I can barely see you."
"That's why I'm here."
"Of course, it is! I know just the thing!"
She ran over to the counter and opened a cabinet. She shuffled around in the cupboard before shouting out in triumph and pouring the contents of the bag into a tea kettle.
"Follow me." She smiled and levitated the tray behind them.
She led them out into the garden and stopped where a blanket and pillows were already set up: one of her favorite spots to sit.
She sat down and closed her eyes, smiling up at the sun.
"This is just what you needed, Harry."
"But, I haven't even had any of the tea," he protested.
"No, I'm not talking about the Nargles, Harry. You needed this for you soul."
He smiled at Luna and blinked up towards the sun. He laid back and rested his head on the pillow. They sat in silence and just listened to the wind breeze through the trees, before Luna seemed to jump out of her trance.
She quickly poured him some tea and handed it to him.
"Now to get rid of the Nargles, Harry."
He graciously took the teacup and listened to Luna while she rambled on about the Crumple-Horned Snorkack. Harry smiled at her enthusiasm. That was what he loved about coming here: Luna never expected anything or wanted anything from him. She had always seemed to understand that he didn't want to talk about the stresses of the real world, so she filled it with chatter of her creatures, and he would forever be grateful for the little escape she provided him.
