Author's Note: Hey there! Just a quick little thing inspired by the Woman's Marches today! I wasn't able to go, but they looked great. Hope you enjoy!
"Crutchie, you ready to go?" Jack called over his shoulder as he straightened the pin on his jacket that read 'One For All & All For One.' With one more glance over his shoulder, he added, "The rest of the boys are downstairs, and we got Kath and Dave waitin' to meet us there."
"Ah, one sec!" Crutchie's voice floated in from down the hall. "Just gettin' my finishing touches!"
Jack raised an eyebrow and began heading down the hall, smirking. "Finishing touches? You've been up for hours, how long does it takw you to get ready, kid?
"Okay, okay, hold your horses, I'm in here, Jack!" Crutchie called, peeking his head out of the bedroom all the boys shared. "Come in, look what I made!"
Jack chuckled and stepped in. "You make a poster or something?"
"Ta-da!" Crutchie thrusted his crutch in the air, beaming brighter than the sun. On his crutch hung a piece of raggedy cloth, and painted on it in thin, red paint were the words, "the things we do today will be tomorrow's news."
Jack's face turned up in a grin. "You made that yourself?"
Crutchie nodded proudly, and used his crutch-free hand to grab the corner of his rainbow bow-tie. "I made this too! I didn't wanna show up to the rally empty-handed or nothin'." Raising his crutch a little higher, he added hopefully, "D'ya like it?"
"I love it," Jack smiled, ruffling Crutchie's hair. "You're really gettin' our voice out there, kid."
Crutchie's already mile-wide grin grew even wider. "You think?"
"You bet," Jack put his arm around the younger boy as the started heading downstairs. "Come on, Crutch. Let's show the world what we're made of."
