"What would you do if I could use chaos control?"

Sonic was caught off guard by that question. What would he do? "I'd just have to use chaos control, too."

She pouted. "That's not fair."

Sonic smiled and retorted, "Well, you have a hammer, and I don't. That's pretty unfair, isn't it?"

"It's not like I enjoy hitting you with it…"

"I wouldn't enjoy hitting you with a hammer either, Amy." Sonic patted her head; her face flushed at the action.

"That's because you're a hero."

"Who said I don't enjoy beating things up?"

Amy giggled. "That's not what I meant." The sight of an ice cream cart caught her attention. "Want some ice cream?"

"Sure, why not." Sonic shrugged. The two picked out different flavors and walked away contentedly. Their cones were stacked ridiculously high, but they didn't mind.

"Why do you run anyway?"

"I run because I love to."

"From me, I meant." Amy groaned when some ice cream dripped onto her hand.

"And that's what I meant." Sonic chuckled at Amy's attempts to clean her hand up. "Here, let me help."

Amy gasped when Sonic snatched her cone out of her hand and started eating it. "What are you doing?"

"Helping."

"You're eating all of my ice cream!"

"No, I'm giving you a chance to completely wipe the melted ice cream off your hand," Sonic defended innocently. Amy grumbled and finished wiping her hand.

"I'm done; now give it back."

"Here ya go."

"H-hey! This is yours!"

"Yeah, I know. I ate a little too much of yours, so I'll give you mine to be fair."

"Fine…" Amy accepted the offer and continued walking along. "Hey, if you enjoy running so much, why aren't you doing it now?"

Sonic took a moment to answer. "This is also fun."

"What, walking?"

"Nope," he answered. Amy felt herself becoming frustrated.

"What's so fun?"

"Being with you, teasing you, talking with you..." Sonic finished the cone with a silly grin. "And I can't use chaos control without an emerald, ya know."

Amy scoffed. "You could always run, though."

"But then you'd hit me with your hammer the next time you see me."

"Definitely," Amy affirmed with a nod. She finished her cone as well. "So, does running from me count as teasing?"

"Definitely," Sonic imitated which caused Amy to giggle. They stopped in front of her apartment door hesitantly.

"Can I count on seeing you tomorrow?"

"As long as you don't plan on asking questions that don't matter."

"Like what?" Amy asked, almost offended. Sonic put a hand on his hip and wagged a finger at her.

"Like "Why do you run from me?" or stuff like that."

"Why?" Amy crossed her arms. Sonic imitated her and crossed his own arms.

"'Cause I'm already yours. Don't think that I let girls other than you run alongside me."

"Then why didn't you say so in the first place?"

"It's only fair." Sonic shrugged. "You never outright said that you were already mine, either."

"Okay then. I'm already yours. Fair?" Amy smiled at the small blush that spread across Sonic's face.

"Fair enough."
