Letter to Harry Potter from Draco Malfoy after the Dark Lord has been killed and Draco has been ordered a death sentence by the Death Eaters, including his father and Severus Snape for his letting Harry Potter slide under his radar so many times. Draco writes this poem to send by an owl to Harry Potter and knows that he will die never having his wishes come to life. (Disclaimer: I do not own any of the Harry Potter plotline or characters. Mention of guy/guy kissing, don't like it? Don't read.)
You wear your red and gold,
I am clad in green and silver;
We are different.
Your glasses and your scar
haunt me in my dreams.
When I look at you
I feel what emptiness brings.
This is not a poem,
this is not a song,
but if it were I'd sing it loud and ask you to belt along.
I want to be before you
nipping at your ears
looking into your bright green eyes
and matching them with my silvery fears.
I want to kiss you deeply
or sweetly
or softly.
It doesn't matter anyways
I just want your lips upon me.
I never got to tell you that
and probably never will
because I have given you free will
and thus I am ordered to be killed.
You will never see me laugh
or smile
or cry again
because I have wasted my time
and have to pay my dues.
Do not miss me when I'm gone
I am not worth your time,
just remember that I loved you
whether this was your thought as well
or just mine.
I want to hold you in my arms
and kiss your faded lips,
but nothing that I dream of
will ever reach me now.
I am dying this dark night
by curse or by the blade.
Either way,
ruffle-haired Gryffindor,
nothing is worse than my heart's pain.
