Title: Hiccups

Summary: Hibari and Tsuna are sparring, when Hibari comes down with the hiccups.

Warnings: Hilarity. Please don't drink or eat while you're reading.

Tsuna was sparring (unwillingly) with Hibari again, down in the training room of the base they never quite got around to taking apart. Dents on the walls and floor marked the places where each had flown into the wall, and both were bruised and sore all over, but neither was willing to back down just yet.

Tsuna calmly assessed the situation. His left arm is down because I broke his tonfa, and no boxes, so no Roll or Natsu. If he doesn't pull some new trick of his, I should win in this next round.

"Omnivore," the cold voice said, jolting him out of his thoughts, "let's go again. This will be the last time."

Apparently Kyouya had noticed it too. Both of them were running out of flames, not the first time but certainly not a common occurrence, and this would probably be the last round either way.

Tsuna nodded, and without warning, disappeared, reappearing behind Hibari. Hibari whirled, tonfa meeting fist, and the resulting explosion shook the training room. When the dust cleared, Hibari's other tonfa was broken as well.

"Interesting, omnivore." Thank you for the spar, omnivore.

"Of course, Kyouya." You're welcome.

"Hn."

Hibari turned to leave. Then he suddenly stopped.

"Kyouya? What's wrong?"

Hibari's back was unusually tense, as if preparing for another fight. Then he made an odd noise that sounded almost like…

"Do you have the hiccups?" Tsuna asked, incredulous.

The stiffening of his back said it all.

"Oh my goodness, you actually got the hiccups? Oh god, that's hilarious!" Tsuna laughed. He kept laughing as Hibari turned around and glared.

The glare made him stop.

Then another hiccup.

Tsuna sat down on the floor, laughing as he clutched his stomach.

Hibari kept glaring, but to no avail. Then he started turning red. Really red.

"Shut up, herbi-hic-vore."

"Kyouya with the hiccups! Oh, this is too good!" Tsuna kept laughing.

Finally, the hiccups subsided. Hibari looked almost relieved for a moment, while Tsuna slowly composed himself.

"Done?" Hibari asked.

"Yeah. I promise I won't tell the others." Tsuna vowed.

Hibari nodded once and stalked off towards the elevator.

His posture reminded Tsuna of an offended cat.

"I won't tell them… much." Tsuna said as the elevator doors closed, a smirk spreading over his face.

Oh, how the others would laugh.
