Okay, this is my first Avatar fic, and I'm new to it, so if you have any constructive criticism, please help me! Here we go! So here we go!
She looked at herself in the mirror, examining her small body, inside and out. First things first, she looked way more mature than she had looked only a few weeks ago. Her kimono more stylish, her hair more, more…
,manageable.
Though her teeth still stuck out slightly, there was no conflict there. Soon, she would be heading out of her small village to visit her family in another. A smile tugged at her small lips. But inside, it was a completely different story…
She had fallen in love once, a sort of love in which she thought no other love could ever compare to. She had fallen head over heels at first sight of him- the avatar. If only he could see her now, she thought. He wouldn't like that water bender girl so much.
The smile on her face was replaced by a frown. If only…
Suddenly, her young thoughts were interrupted by the sound of a knock on her sliding wooden door. "Mang!" a voice called to her. "Yes?" cam ea reply. "We're leaving now, let's go." The voice responded.
Mang looked around her dark room, candles lit and pillows on the floor, one large candle in the middle of it all. Mang strolled over to her sliding door. She slid her hand over to it and opened it. With this newfound light, she blew out the candles, and closed the door to her dark, black room and closed the door. She followed the corridor and outside into eh bright sunlight.
She rejoined her family, and they embarked on their small journey.
Hundreds of feet above the sea, a flying bison flew gracefully across the ocean. Its riders laughed and smiled in fun as the cool wind blew across their faces. A young boy the age of 12 seemed to be having the most fun. As he sat on the bison's head, he spread his arms out as if about to take of. He stumbled a bit as the bison started in a diagonal position, but quickly shifted back to a horizontal one. "Aang! You all right?" a girl's voice called. Aang turned to see his friend, a water bender named Katara watching him, a small smile on her face.
"What does it look like?" he laughed, shaking his little mishap off. For a strange moment, their smiles seemed to look on one another's… well at least to Aang.
Her brown hair glistening in the sunlight, her charming smile irresistible… She was so perfect, and in every way….
"Hey, land!" another boy's voice seemed to break everything. Aang frowned. Sokka. HE was Katara's older brother, slightly immature, but a good friend. Aang turned his head in the direction Sokka's hand was pointing in. Aang's eyes widened in happiness as he spotted land. Finally, a place to rest! he thought.
It looked like a good place to rest for a while.
So come on! Please tell me!
