Ok guys here is something new and rather interesting we hope you all enjoy as this is our first Dark Souls cross RWBY story. First however a few things and heads-up on this story this will feature and entirely unique OC Ashen One from DS3, along with this serving as an AU Story also with the statements or saying of the God Of Light and God Of Darkness as I'll be in this first chapter writing them with it being short with it being Light and Dark from time to time so don't get confused on that k.
Also yes important characters will still exist within this story and along with relics from RWBY however as I said it serves as an AU Story so there will be changes as we plan and write. On one final topic as you read through and yes you will come to understand the OC is entirely overpowered as how it should be given the state of the souls universe and how souls and by extension gods and magic work within that universe and yes the main character will have the ability to still absorb souls from people. But we all hope you enjoy the first chapter of this epic story :)

Chapter I: Age's End
"Thou'rt Ash, and fire befits thee, of course... Those words have hold true to the end of the world itself. When the Link Of Fire is threatened the old Lords Of Cinder will rise from their graves. Aldrich Saint Of The Deep, Farrons Abyss Watchers, and the reculsive Lord Of The Profaned Capital Yhorm The Giant. Yet their was another who was destined to become a Lord Of Cinder to rekindle the First Flame yet he forsook his duty along with the other lords who came before him, and with this it layed upon those unable to once link the flame to do what they once could not. The Ashen One... my Ashen One he who would bring the lords back to their thrones if not willing then he would bring them back as cinders, each lord fell to his blade and each returned as cinders. He over came each and every obstical placed in his way till he gifted me with the eyes and I knew of the betrayal that was to play as it was his wish... his dearest wish to see the flame extinguished but through my eyes the flames would flicker across the darkness once more linked from lords ages past."
The smell of burned flowers, the taste of ash, and the cool feeling of blood all mixed together in a single aroma within the Ashen One's senses as he stood over the crumbling Soul Of Cinder. The being who guarded the Kiln Of The First Flame simply had a look of confusion upon it's face, the Ashen One peered through his knight helm as he let out heavy breathing upon finishing the last obsticle in his way. The Soul Of Cinder simply lowered it's head as it begun to crack and break apart till it's entire body simply remained motionless with it's once vibrant orange and red hue's fading with the armor and body becoming a motionless statue of ash, the Ashen One reached for the beings chest as he did his hand pushed through soft ash till he pulled back. Within the Ashen One's hand he held it that which forged the once great Lords Of Lordran along with each and every Lord Of Cinder that followed in Gwyn's path, the soul itself was a brilliant yellow flame that crackled in his hand at the touch however this mattered little at the moment as he saw it what he had wanted from the beginning an end to the First Flame lay before him. Walking toward what appeared to be a bonfire his hand instinctively reached outward to ignite it, however he hesistated when he saw it a brilliant white light shine from the side and he knew it was her his Firekeeper. Touching the sign she had appeared in her beautiful black dress her silver hair tied beautifully back and her eyes hidden by her silver crown.
The two beings whom had been tied together by not only fate but by the will of the linking of the flame shared no words as in this moment they knew what most be done the Firekeeper knelt beside the bonfire as she with the most gentle of hands pulled the fading flame from the bonefire and held it close to her bosom. Within that moment the burning sun above them which had blackened and charred into that of the accursed Darksign had begun to fade and with it the skies above them, the all encompassing blackness of the dark had rolled in like a great wave and with it the darkness slowly engulfed both Firekeeper and her Ashen One. Within the darkness of the Kiln Of The First Flame their was but silence till words rang out within the darkness.
"Ashen one, hearest thou my voice, still?"
Within Firelink Shrine the dark had slowly began it's creeping within the home of the few residents that had been brought there by the Ashen One. The dark had slowly blew out each and every candle within the shrine as it made it's way from one person to the next, the dark would bring peace as with it came the silence of nothing. Firelink Shrine fell to dark everlasting silence no voice or even footstep could be heard, time and all that once could be perceived had simply seemed to become non-existent. Across the darkness itself however tiny flames of what once was and what would be had encircled one another with each being the others opposite one a flame of pure light, the other of pure darkness both entertwined and encircled the other till they flew across the endless sea of darkness to places unknown within this ages end. As ages passed and all that once was passed from history and into legend and those legends became nothing more then mere myth, the dark gave way to light and from it a new world had begun to take shape. The light had shined across a newly forged land trees, rivers, oceans, and mountains could all be seen as far as the eye could see and upon the land itself humanity had begun to walk it's surface once more. However amongst humanity like it's previous incarnations were the gods who lived amongst them and like all gods they had been worshipped however this praise went more to one god then to the other. However in the far reaches of this world there still was something that lived two beings much older then either of these new gods, one who tended a dying flame and the other a guardian and warrior who's skill was unmatched.
"Ashen one, hearest thou my voice, still?" The Voiced revirbed off inside the Ashen One's mind till his eyes opened to see the outline of his Firekeeper.
"Aye, I have not forgotten it Firekeeper." The Ashen One tilted his head upward to see a gentle smile come across the womans face.
"The dark has subsided and with it the flames ignite anew Ashen One." She spoke as she kneeled holding the gauntlet hand of the Ashen One.
The Ashen One said nothing as he turned his head from the Firekeepers gaze and stood up heading for the exit that led out from Firelink Shrine. Upon reaching the exit he released the illusion which concealed it from the rest of the world and upon leaving he stood looking upward to see for the first time in ages the brilliant light of the sun itself. The surroundings of Firelink shrine had been itself uprooted and pierced by a mighty tree that had grown from below Firelink itself, the Ashen One had made his way from the tree and downward to the ground alongside him was his Firekeeper whom he kept close and protected as was his duty. Both had made there way through the dense forest area as it took them three days and nights till they both finally reached the sea to come across a small village full of humans whom looked at him and the Firekeeper with interest. The Ashen One kept his Ringed Knight straightsword close however he felt the Firekeepers hand on his, with him looking to the Firekeeper he released his grip on the blade and eased up with the people getting closer. The Ashen One along with the Firekeeper had been questioned about how they had arrived on the island however neither gave much detail on the arrival only that they were new and looking to adventure together. Both the Ashen One and Firekeeper were brought to a nearby inn to rest and recover the sight of many jolly faces unnerved the Ashen One if only slightly due to his only experience with one jolly person he met on his travels. Thoughts rang back to that peculiar onion knight Siegward Of Catarina, the moments between the two fellows brought back memories of nostalgia that as he looked around he saw the knight standing in the corner holding a siegbrau in hand.
"Long may the sun shine upon your face my dear friend haha !" Siegward said raising a toast to the Ashen One.
Shaking his head slightly he looked back only to see no one was even there in the corner however he knew who was real as he saw the Firekeeper nestled slightly on his shoulder holding on as she had fallen asleep.
"Do you require rest ?" The Ashen One asked.
The Firekeepers cheeks had a slight flush to them as she awoke with one side being more red then the other however as she looked up to her protector and only friend she simply gave the most warming and gentle smile she could. The Ashen One tilted his head till he looked away as the many different noises caught his attention like a puppy the different sounds and noises felt foreign to him as he had been so used to the groans and cries of the many hollows and beasts of his time.
"Ashen One these people are wholly human. They bear neither the curse of undeath nor are unkindled like you." She said.
"Perhaps... Yet something still persists." He said in his calm yet cld manner while the Firekeeper held slightly onto the Ashen One's arm.
"EVERYONE ! GRIMM ARE ATTACKING !" A villager shouted as he rushed out of the building.
"Grimm ?" The Ashen One said puzzingly.
"Their creatures from the god of darkness pal, come on you look like you can fight help us please !" A bar patron said as he grabbed a blade to defend the village.
The Firekeeper looked on as outside dozens of black formed beasts with glowing red eyes attacked the village some looked like wolves while others resembled beasts not before seen. The Ashen One pulled her from the window having her remain hidden while he journeyed out to face the beasts that assaulted the village, looking on several of the wolf like beasts snarled and smelt the immense aroma of negative emotions coming off the Ashen One and so saw their new prey. Pulling his blade from his hilt the once mighty Ringed Knight sword ignited into a brilliant orange blade as it extended atleast to several feet higher with fire radiating off the blade, with both hands the Ashen One sliced through three of the Grimm with ease. More the beasts rushed forth trying to attack their new prey only for themselves to be quickly ended as the fire from the blade dissolved them to ash, rushing forth to several more of the Grimm the Ashen One had managed to save a few more of the villagers. Even more of the Grimm had found the Ashen One as they had no longer wanted the villagers but him alone, with quick thinking and reflexes his left hand changed slightly with a fire igniting in the palm of his hand and with one swing a fireball flew forth splitting into multiple balls that obliterated the Grimm in their tracks. However at the end of the few remaining Grimm stood a black figure that had bone-like spikes on its back and ribs on its upper body, with long, skeletal forearms and sharp fingernails. The creature had no lower body as it stood there floating, it's face was covered with a bone like covering with a singular eye hole however it's body quickly changed into a larger boulder like beast that roared at the Ashen One.
The Ashen One stood his ground as he sheathed his blade, the beast roared and punched the ground till it had made a mad dash for it's target. Many of the villagers yelled at the Ashen One to not stand there but he listened to none of them as in his right hand he held something that looked like a cloth wrapped around something with yellow and red painted onto it. The loud pounding footsteps echoed but in the Ashen One's mind he echoed out his prayer for what he required.
"Peal apart it's mighty stone hide like those of Ancient Dragons."
"Give me the power of the Firstborns hunts to end this beast."
"Give me... The Spear Of Lightning !"
Within the Ashen One's hand a massive electrical bolt of lightning forged out of thin air and with a heavy thrust he threw the mighty bolt at the oncoming beast which rushed toward the bolt of lightning head on, the bolt itself pierced the beast causing its rocky body to explode in a beautiful display. However the lightning continued to fly as it finally hit it's remaining targets of the Grimm which all had been pierced in an amazing display which had all the villagers wide eyed and mouths agape, the Ashen One looked on as the rock beast fell to the ground dead. The people of the village came out from hiding while those that did what they could to hold back the Grimm stood their in awe at the Ashen One as they had never seen such weapons nor magical power before. However the only thing that caught the Ashen One's eyes was that his Firekeeper was safe as she came out of hiding to stand before him with a soft smile upon her face as she reached out to touch his helm. The moment itself was cut short as a resounding boom could be heard as a blackened cyclone of energy emerged, the Ashen One's first thought was to protect his Firekeeper from what was coming. The energy of the vortex slowly halted with the dust and wind dying down to reveal a dark purple figure with pointed back horns walking forth with it's arms behind it's back, another boom was heard as in the sky a light shined brightly till it speared into the ground showing a figure of bright brilliant light that shined as bright as the sun itself. The second figure was identical in appearance to the first however his horns were deer like in appearance and he appeared more masculine and fit compared to the dark one, The people of the village all stood wide eyed and in shock till they all finally bowed all accept for the Ashen One and the Firekeeper who stood there ground.
The two figures one of light the other of dark stood in place as they stood ten or so feet away from the Ashen One and the Firekeeper, the smaller of the two looked puzzingly at both the Ashen One and Firekeeper while the other of light simply stood their hands in place in a courtesy like way.
"What do we make of this then dear brother ?" The smaller one said as he continued. "They appear to be human but not of our creation hmm how... different."
"I apologise for my younger brothers manners, we had felt something strange on this island when his Grimm had been slain. I am the God Of Light, my younger brother is the God Of Darkness." Light said with a respectful bow.
The Ashen one said nothing which annoyed Darkness highly. "My brother is showing you a courtesy, how about you do the same whatever you are." Darkness said in an almost disgusted voice.
The Ashen One remained silent only for the Firekeeper to speak. "The Ashen One speaks through me... he wishes to remain silent. I on his behalf beg your forgiveness noble lords." She said giving a proper bow.
"Lords ? Hahahhaha." Darkness laughed as he twisted upside down. "We are not lords we are gods girl, but you will tell us what exactly what hole or cave you crawled out of at once."
"Brother restrain yourself !" Light said as he looked to his younger. "My brother's temper has always gotten the better of him. Our apologies miss, all we wish to know is how you both came to be and how you came by such power ?"
The Firekeeper looked to the Ashen One who simply nodded in acceptance. "My lord has possessed these abilities from his time searching for the old Lords Of Cinder, but now things have greatly changed as we have seen."
"Lords Of Cinder ?" Darkness said looking to Light. "Are we supposed to know what those are girl hmm ?"
"They were beings of great power..." The Ashen One spoke up getting the looks of both gods to stare right at him.
"Ohh so the thing does have a tongue after all. I was afraid we would have to rely on the girl all day." Darkness said.
The Ashen One gripped his blade tightly. "You will not speak to the Firekeeper in such a manner foul thing."
"Brother... calm yourself." Light said as he could feel his brothers anger.
"This piece of meat dares call me thing !?" Darkness said as he took two steps forward. "However I am not without my mercy correct brother." Darkness said giving an invisible smile.
The God Of Darkness turned to his brother before quickly turning back in one quick motion a beam of purple energy zoomed past the Ashen One and hit something behind him, the Ashen One's eyes widened as he felt it in the bottom of what remained of himself as he heard her.
"Ashen One..." The Firekeeper said as she fell to the ground only for the Ashen One quickly rushed over grabbing her before she fell fully.
"Brother...what have you done." Light said as he looked to darkness.
"Serves the thing right for insulting his betters." Darkness said with pride in his tone.
The Ashen One held the Firekeeper in his arms as her life drained from her with one hand over hers. "Firekeeper...please... hold on. Here drink please." He said grabbing his estus flask.
The Firekeepers face had begun to pale further with her skin flaking, her hand tightened around his as she spoke. "Ashen one, hearest thou m-"
The Firekeepers voice rang dim till her hand slipped from his, as he held her in his arms her body slowly changed from a beautiful pale to a grey ash along with her beautiful black dress and mesmerizing silver hair. The Ashen One watched from behind his helm as his last and only connection to his past slowly crumbled away into ash upon the ground, all that remained was her silver crown that covered her once blinded eyes. This silence was deafining as it rang out in his mind and hands as he clenched his fists with what remained of her ashes upon his armored hands and arms, with nothing left he rushed at the God Of Darkness only to be met with a sudden pain in his chest as a spear of pure light was plunged deep into him.
"I am so sorry..." The God Of Light said as he pulled the spear of light free from the Ashen One.
The Ashen One clung to life as he crawled toward the Firekeepers crown clutching it for dear life and in that moment he felt himself like so many times before fade into the nothing. Both gods had vanished from the village leaving behind what the God Of Darkness had done, however within a instance the Ashen One had awoken back at Firelink Shrine and in his right hand the Firekeepers crown. The light pierced through the cracked helm of the Ashen One as he had awoken, he quickly rose with his blade ready only to find himself alone but he looked to the side to see Firelink's bonefire was lit which confused him till he saw him.
"How !?" The Ashen One said as he stepped forth. "How can you be here still ?"
"Ahh come on bruv. Is that anyway to treat your last friend in this bleak world hmm ?" Patches said with that same old smirk.
"You're just another figment in my mind Patches."
"Not exactly bruv, besides you still have a duty to uphold and let's face it those sodding fools need to be taught a lesson. After all you did for me, it's time I uphold my promise to you." Patches said with a smirk.
"What do you mean ?" The Ashen One said with confusion.
Patches simply shrugged as he pulled something out from his bottomless box. "Let's just say an old pal whom, well doesn't matter now. He gave me something rather special to hold onto and I think he would want you to have it heh."
Patches pulled it out from the box as it shined a brilliant firey orange light within the palm of Patches hand it was impossible to behold yet he of all people had it but the Ashen One knew Patches was capable of getting the most unique and strangest of things and this was by far the most unique. This was the soul or atleast what remained of one of that of the first Lord Of Cinder Gwyn, upon taking it into his hands something pulled at the soul as it seemed to grow bigger upon being given to the Ashen One. The soul itself floated from his hands and phased through his armor till it entered his chest as it did the Ashen One felt a wave of not just heat but power radiate within himself as he collapsed to his knees, the fire from the bonefire grew hotter till the fire erupted and encircled the coiled sword of Firelink Shrine. The Ashen One reached outward toward the coiled sword and as he grasped it's heated hilt he could feel nothing within the heat, upon the thrones of the slain Lords Of Cinder the cinders themselves kindled alive becoming all encompassing flames that flew from their thrones each hitting the Ashen One adding to the already growing flame within him.
The Ashen One's elite knight armor had slowly begun to melt and shift as the heat grew more and more intense the pain non-existant as his armor had slowly molted and shifted to fit a new form. The helm slowly charred and shifted reforging encasing his face with the top of it becoming like that of a jagged burned crown, the plates and pauldrons shifted becoming more agile and flexible and his once blue colors of the armor becoming deep charred red. The Ashen One's eyes had changed color as well changing from deep silver to deep burning amber coals from behind his helm, he had become what he had slain to end the age of fire the Ashen One was reforged in the fires of the First Flame becoming the very flame he sought to end but he was still himself not hollowed or burnt to cinders like those of the lords of past ages. Looking to the coiled sword that remained in Firelink Shrine he withdrew the blade itself from it's resting place and would like the Soul Of Cinder wield it as his weapon, looking back to Patches the only thing he saw was the bald back kicking merchant simply smirking and chuckling.
"Well, Well bruv. Tell me how's it feel to be everything you sought to put down to know you've become what those filthy clerics once worshipped ?" Patches said smirking.
The Ashen One said nothing only to have Patches speak again. "Ha ! I don't need an answer it's plain as day pal, but one last bit of advice to ya. Don't let that power get to your head or else who knows you might go mad heh."
The Ashen One turned to leave befor Patches spoke once more. "One last thing bruv, tell me from one friend to another what was your name hmm ?"
It took the Ashen One a moment before speaking. "Wulfrick..." Within that moment Wulfrick looked to the ceiling as he gripped his blade.
A large blazing inferno cyclone engulfed the entirety of Wulfrick's being as the fire tornado disappeared into the air taking him along with it leaving Patches alone within the tomb of Firelink shrine with a simple smirk on his face all the while the sides of his neck began to grey and crack slightly.
"Heh. Silly old unkindled, atleast he'll make a better go at this world then I did who knows he may even last longer then I did... farewell old friend." Patches said giving a genuine smile, closing his eyes as his skin greyed slowly as he took a squat.
Across the many continents of the newly forged world things had only gotten worse as the many human kingdoms of the world had risen up in revolt against the gods of light and darkness, all of which was being led by a woman known as Salem. The two brother gods had stood together against humanity both in their godly dragon forms, the humans said no words as the gods questioned who had had their creations rise up against them and out stepped the woman known as Salem. The hundreds of humans who stormed the God Of Light's sanctuary attacked using everything in there arsenal from arrows, to all forms of magic with little to no effect. The God Of Darkness had captured all of their magic into a singular purple sphere from which he held it however overhead the skies had darkened and red hues of orange and black clouds formed which caused all even the gods to take notice. The skies had burned open as a massive cyclone of fire rained from above into the ground below as it swirled endlessly stopping between Salem with her army and between the gods till it died down revealing the figure that stood at the center the newly formed lord of the first flame. His eyes burned deep amber with embers floating from the ends of his armor and in his right hand was his coiled sword burning bright, Salem stood there her eyes widened in shock and disbelief as she thought this was another god that come but to who it sided with was unknown.
"You !?" Darkness said as it realised who this was even behind that charred amber armor.
Wulfrick said nothing as he stood there in silence only for the God Of Light to respond. "Please you do not need to do this. There is another way besides this."
"You both took my only link to my world, like all gods you take and never give in return. For this I shall take your souls." Wulfrick said holding his coiled blade tightly.
Salem soon stepped forth to speak. "If they have taken from you as well then we share a common interest they took the one I loved from me !"
Wulfrick looked back to the woman with a passing glance as he spoke. "Silence yourself girl. Your needs and desires are not mine, these beings are mine to face alone they will fall like all whom have to my blade in ages past."
"YOU INSOLENT WORM YOU WILL SUFFER LIKE THIS WOMAN !" Darkness said.
The God Of Darkness attacked first spewing forth mighty purple and blackened flames from his dragon form only for Wulfrick to plunge his blade into the earth this caused the flames to deflect into different directions with one of them recoiling back onto the god himself. Pulling his blade out Wulfrick rushed forth with inhuman speed blade in hand, as he jumped forth the elder brother used his powers to push back Wulfrick who caught himself with his blade using his left hand to swing back around like one of Farron's Abyss Watchers. Wulfrick used his enhanced speed and with one quick slash he severed the left wing of the toppled god's dragon form, this caused the God Of Darkness to yell in pain as he reverted back to his human form the elder brother used his powers to push back Wulfrick who was only momentarily halted however he soon came to be aided by Salem and the army at her back. Wulfrick's eyes became brighter and more enraged as he swung his coiled sword directly at the army at Salem's command with a single swipe a massive wave of fire incinerated part of the army turning them to ash.
"WE ARE ON THE SAME SIDE DON'T YOU SEE !" Salem said as she became angered. "The gods stole from us and we can stop them here together you fool !"
Wulfrick said nothing as he unleashed a massive wave of flame that held back the army from interfering in his affair with these gods, Darkness quickly rushed at Wulfrick with an extended hand and slamming him hard into the ground. Darkness smirked only for it to be cut off as he held down Wulfrick's head his hand became burning hot then on fire as touching Wulfrick caused pain, using a free hand Wulfrick grabbed the god's arm and burned it further causing him to yell in pain. Using a quick punch Darkness jumped back taking on his dragon form again still missing one wing as he was full of rage and anger at this little being who dared test him, gathering up a massive amount of magic into a sphere he was prepared to deal the final blow.
"Brother !?" Light said to Darkness as he knew what he was doing. "Don't do this, this isn't the way !"
"This thing will fall today brother !" Darkness said as he powered up the attack.
Wulfric quickly changed his coiled blade as if by instinct as his blade became a catalyst and with it he knew one spell that would aid in this as he powered it up as a torrent of blue energy increased with his catalyst. The God Of Darkness unleashed the wave of dark magical energy with plans to wipe out both this upstart along with Salems army in one fell swoop, Wulfrick using the spell to his fullest unleashed soulstream to it's fullest potential. The beam of energy from Wulfrick and the sphere of magic from Darkness collided in a mixture of different colors however soulstream over came the power of the magic as it along with soulstream increased into a massive wave of blue and dark purple energy that collided with the stunned God Of Darkness. The beam of energy collided with his body sending the god flying into the skies above and into space itself with the beam rupturing through his chest and outward past hitting the moon itself causing it to break apart in a spectacular display of power and destruction which made the sky burst into a series of different colors for several seconds.
The God Of Light alongside Salem and all the humans who gathered stood there in utter shock and disbelief as not only did the moon shatter but the younger brother and God Of Darkness had just been slain by this being who stood between humans and the one lone god that remained. Wulfrick simply stood there as if he hadn't even broken a sweat as he changed his catalyst back into the straight coiled sword, walking forth toward the God Of Light he was stopped when the god spoke to him in a sorrowful tone.
"I mourned for the loss of the young woman my brother killed. I had even mourned for you as I had taken someone so unique from this world, just because I wished to defend my younger brother." Light said looking on.
Wulfrick remained silent however. "Even now I still do but now I must mourn for my little brother whom you've taken from me. Before this is over I want you to know I'm sorry for what we took from you, and I forgive as well."
The God Of Light changed into his human form and formed a spear of pure light in his hand and with it he was prepared for his confrontation with Wulfrick the Lord Of The First Flame. Wulfrick rushed in landing several quick blows along with using sorceries such as crystal soulmass and snap freeze which had turned the ground to pure ice and broke anything in it's vicinity. Light had kept up and even dodged the unusual magic of Wulfrick till he managed to land a blow slicing through his lower chest plate which as he did flames ruptured forth spewing from Wulfricks very body uncontrollably. The flames burned and seered all in there path till the wound itself resealed itself as Wulfrick launched his self at Light againt with another barrage of attacks, then turning his blade into a curved ciled sword slicing Light's chest abit causing it to burn and singe with pain. The fight waged on for several hours with the God Of Light's domain heavily damaged and battered, the god himself had one of his antlers missing and was heavily scarred and burned aswell as losing his power with the battle waging on, Wulfrik himself simply stood there waiting for his next attack all the while boiling with rage in his heart and mind. The God Of Light however knew this battle was lost and surprisingly to everyone even Wulfrik he dropped his spear allowing it to dissolve into nothing as he dropped to his knees with his head lowered as he began to speak.
"I know I cannot stop you, and I know that you won't stop yourself to see reason so I ask for only one thing please." He asked as he raised his head to the now infront of him Wulfrik.
"That is God Of Light ?" Wulfrik said in a deep seered voice.
"Please watch over mine and my brother's creation... humanity." Light said in a weak and saddened state.
Wulfrik's face may have been hidden but his eyes slowly dimmed. "I...I will watch over them. Not for you but for her."
"That's all I can ask. May you see her again one day..." The Lord Of Light said. Lowering his head as he accepted his fate.
Wulfriks eyes changed from a dim coloring to a bright amber red as he grabbed the God Of Light by his head and with a single amount of force along with the power of the flame within burned the god to nothing more then cinders and ash. As this had been done all that remained in his place was his soul of pure light which levitated toward Wulfrik like a moth to a flame, taking it in one hand along with the young brothers darkened soul he placed them deep within his chest to hold onto. Turning to see the faces of the humans he was greeted with a large sword being plunged into his chest plate by the woman who tried to have him side with her, her eyes full of rage and tears as Wulfrik backed away slightly.
"YOU FOOL !" Salem said as she launched volleys of lightning at Wulfrik. "My one chance is gone because of you, I won't ever see him again because of you and I am forever cursed because of you !"
Wulfrik's eyes burned hotter as he grabbed Salem by the throat. "You foolish woman, I have no quarrel with you !" He said as he pulled the sword from his chest. "I killed those foolish gods for whom they took from me. Yet you dare place blame on me !"
Salem fell back onto her back scurrying away with deep fear in her eyes as her throat had been slightly burned, Wulfrick grabbed his coiled blade and walked forth the look of death and rage in his eyes that pierced into Salem's soul. Raising the blade he was greeted with volleys of magic and arrows and swords being plunged into him that had begun peeling away at his armor and form allowing Salem to get away. Wulfrick however broke free as his rage over took him and in one final display of power he raised his coiled blade into the air as an all encompassing cyclone of fire and smoke circled overhead, as he plunged his blade into the earth he spoke one final time to the army that attacked him along with Salem "Return To Cinders !" The all engulfing cyclone of flame quickly spread outward engulfing anything in it's path each and every kingdom of man had vanished in the blink of an eye and with it all manner of beauty that had resided upon the world, in it's place all that remained was ash and blackened skies with hints of sun piercing through from time to time. Wulfrick had withdrew his blade from the ground seeing the once beautiful place resemble much of the Kiln Of The First Flame, however one other still lived it was the woman Salem who stood there in utter horror at what in her mind this monster unleashed.
"Y-You monster !" Salem screamed as she saw what had become of the land. "You... I will tell the rest of the world, I'll scream it to everyone what you did here today !"
Wulfrick simply looked around as he calmed down his flames fading as he had realised just what he had did by unleashing such power. "Their is no one left..."
Salem's eyes widened. "W-What are you saying !?"
"Your the last human in this world... just like me." Wulfrik said as he walked away from the sight.
"Y-You can't leave me here !" Salem said as she launched lightning at him but to no effect. "KILL ME ! YOU HEAR ME, KILL ME !"
Wulfrik said nothing as he journeyed off across the vast stretch of ash in his wake back to his home all the while hearing Salem's voice echo. "P-Please... I want to die... I can't."
Wulfrik's journey back to Firelink Shrine was long and unknowable as the skies had been so blackened from the flames he unleashed time and day were indistinguishable, however life persisted as creatures of Grimm could be seen flying or crawling through the vast ash fields of this remnant of a world. Reaching his location after many days of walking he was stopped by something that shocked him a woman in all black and hair as deep as silver looking onward and pointing to a small hill. Upon reaching the spot he saw her or atleast what he hoped was her as he touched her hand it felt soft and warm to the touch, Wulfrik fell to his knees as he held the Firekeepers hand not wanting to let go of her again.
"Ashen one, hearest thou my voice, still?" The voice asked.
"Aye...Aye I do Firekeeper." Wulfrik said holding her hand only for it to slip from him and pull him in to caress his whole body
"This is not your end Ashen One, much is left to do. This world still needs you, you must fix what you have broken."
"I... I can't." Wulfrik said holding her by the waist. "I don't know what I must do anymore."
"Use that which grants life the same that made the world as it is now. Use their souls and of all those you snuffed out to bring them back." She said as she rested her hand upon his head. "Remember Ashen One. You will never be alone again."
Upon opening his eyes he saw he was alone on the hill, picking himself back up Wulfrick reached within himself forcing out the two souls of the gods of light and dark and held each in the opposite hand. Closing his eyes and upon opening them the deep amber fires of the First Flame ignited and crawled outward enhancing both of the souls Wulfrik held and upon bring both of them together the two souls merged forming a lightish black mass of a soul. This was the key and the lock to open it was Wulfrick himself placing the merged soul back within an overwhelming pain overtook Wulfrik as he screamed in agony and with it his chest erupted forth with masses of tiny small bright outlined lights with hues of dark rupturing forth. These sprites of light rained high across the sky itself overtaking the entire night sky, Wulfrick clenched his hands in pain as he felt his body being torn apart and being put back together over and over till finally he fell backwards the pain subsiding. His eyes opened to see tiny white lights floating down from the sky and with it phasing through the immense hills of ash and sinking into everything across all of the world. Wulfrick using what strength he had left limped his way back to Firelink Shrine and once inside sealed the entrance with an Illusion so no one could ever find him again, all that remained now was his nostalgia of memories and only memories of friends he would no longer see nor hear again. Reaching what he believed to be his final resting place he laid himself to rest within a coffin within Firelink Shrine and sealed himself away to sleep and dream of his nostalgia of better memories for all that remained was the silence of an empty grave.
