Summary: Between Kim being back in town, Kim being evil, and Kim not blaming her, Kat really doesn't know what to think.

It was such a weird experience, Kat thought, meeting Kim for the first time in such a long while. And especially in the particular circumstances. Not only had Kimberly tried to kill them, she'd apparently been unaware Kat and Tommy were together. Strangely, though, Kim didn't seem angry at Kat, in any way. Kat didn't understand it. She would have been angry or hurt. She was aware how much Tommy and Kim had cared for each other, how much Tommy still cared for her. And she had a feeling that Kimberly still cared for Tommy very much as well. She wondered how Kim could be so... accepting of all this.

She wondered what had brought Kim back to Angel Grove in the first place. It was obvious, by the way she was acting, that a reunion with the others hadn't been on the agenda. Jason had been the only person who knew she was coming in and he was silent on the whole matter.

Kim was... different, somehow. She looked sad. It was something Kat couldn't help noticing, the sorrow in the eyes of the former pink ranger. She wondered what Kim had thought of all the events that had happened in the rangers's lives since she left. Kat knew Tommy wrote her about it, she'd found out but Tommy didn't know that she knew. She especially wondered what Kim thought of the incident when Tommy had been kidnapped and brainwashed. She wondered if Tommy had told her about what exactly had snapped him out of it.

Whatever Kim was sad about, Jason seemed to know about it. Whenever he looked at her, he got this look in his eyes that just made Kat sure he knew what was up. She knew Tommy saw the looks too and was frustrated that Jason didn't talk to him about it. She was sure that whatever it was had contributed to the way she had acted while under the evil spell. Jason had been under a spell too but he hadn't been as deliberately cruel as Kimberly was and he hadn't singled anyone out the way Kim had seemed to single out Tommy.

And now Kim was leaving, heading back to her life without the rest of them. she knew that none of the others had heard from Kim and none of Tommy's letters had been answered. She wondered why Kim had chosen to isolate herself from them all. She hoped there was a good reason but doubted she would ever find out. She hoped Kim took care.
