This is pretty short and I've written better but hey. Motoko/Shinobu

Don't you know I love you?

Snow fell to the ground, soundless and soft, covering Tokyo for the 2nd time that night. Motoko sat by the window of some downtown cafe, staring out at it, unaware she was anywhere but floating to earth with the falling snow. "Motoko-chan?" a small voice called, bringing her back inside, melting the white spheres reflecting in her eyes. She turned her head and greeted Shinobu standing to her right, with a smile. Shinobu sat in the chair next to her and sighed. "Beautiful isn't it." Motoko directed her attention back the snow out side the window. "Yes, it's very pretty. Did you have something to say?" Shinobu looked around a little, seeing they were alone. After about 10 seconds, seeming like 10 minutes, the younger girl in a small voice confirmed, "I just want to talk I guess." Shinobu stared at her fingers. [Not very reassuring] she scolded herself. Motoko also glanced around the room a bit then rested her eyes back on Shinobu. "Is everything alright?" [Not very comforting] she scolded herself. Shinobu shrugged her left shoulder slightly, "I don't know. I don't know why I came to you..." Motoko sat up abruptly, concern flooding her emotions. "Is it something bad?" "No," she smiled at Motokos care, "Can we go home and talk about it?"

They both took their seats at the kitchen table, sitting across from each other, with only a narrow space between them. Shinobu smiled, admiring Motoko for the 3rd time that day, staring into her eyes, 3 minutes passing into the next 5 seconds of her being unaware somehow Motoko was looking back. Motoko shifted back, alarmed at being hit with such a direct look by one so timid, making her feel uneasy yet entranced. It was a look you could easily get lost in, so welcoming, like giving you permission to stare back forever. "Something wrong?" Motoko asked quietly. They both stared another moment in perfect silence, the quiet growing louder and louder, the rest of the noise in the room going into evanescence. "Do you ever feel like you're missing something?" Shinobu said softly, her shy eyes learning their place and slowly looking away. Motoko shifted her weight, feeling out of control and uncomfortable, never having a feeling like the one Shinobus deep eyes gave her. Never knowing she could stare so openly, longingly. What was she missing here? "Like what?" She barley managed to say, her mind still reeling. "A physical force. maybe a person." Shinobus eyes cautiously took their place back to looking at Motokos physical beauty. Motoko slowly looked up, just as cautious, just as shy. "Don't you ever want to be wanted." Motoko fidgeted, her hands beginning to tremble, her heart rate increasing, body temperature rising. She lured things over in her head, suddenly feeling a strong emotion grip her. [Is it love? I wouldn't know.] The older girl thought bitterly. [Do I even know what she means to me?] Motoko smiled silently, getting lost in the young girls eyes again. "Yes, I do Shinobu-chan. I long to feel accepted, wanted, loved." Her hand reached across the table and gently rested on Shinobus' "Don't you feel loved Shinobu-chan?" [Don't you know I love you?] Shinobu frowned, "No, I don't Motoko-san. I long for love everyday," she paused, "especially yours." The younger girl blushed fiercely, looking away at once, smiling sheepishly at her admit. Motoko felt a blush rise to her cheeks as well, the familiar feeling gripping her heart once more. "You have my love right now Shinobu-chan, and you always have." Motokos blush deepened as Shinobu looked up. "Don't you know I love you?"
