Author's Note: I intentionally left Ben's girlfriend unnamed, so you can make her be whoever you want her to be. You can even insert yourself into the story as the girlfriend, if you want.

(Ben's POV)

I waited and watched her with baited breath. I had just told her my biggest secret, and I knew this would be one of the biggest tests for if our relationship would hold. It still felt weird to think of me being in one of those. A relationship. I'm not the kind of guy people think of as someone in a relationship with anyone else. Not a serious one, anyway. I had just told her I was a werewolf.

She slowly processed what I told her, and I patiently gave her time for the processing. I was expecting her to run. I was expecting her to scream. I was expecting her to tell me to go away, and to tell me that she never wanted to see me again…

"Okay," she said calmly. "So you're a werewolf."

…I was not expecting that.

"I'm serious." I told her. Maybe she thought this was some kind of joke, and that is why she didn't react the way I thought she would.

"I assumed you were."

"I morph into a giant wolf at the full moon, with a tail and everything."

"Okay."

"I can call my wolf shape up any other time as well." I told her.

"Good to know."

"I haven't gone mad." I assured her

"I didn't think you had."

I blinked slowly. "You're actually okay with this? You're okay with the fact that I turn into something that many people view as a monster? I'm not tame in my wolf shape."

She laughed, "You aren't exactly tame in this form all the time, either."

I laughed a little, and pulled her tight into my arms. "I was really nervous that you wouldn't react to this very well."

"You don't know me as well as I thought you did."

"I just have seen relationships take hard hits because one party lied to the other before coming out and saying they are a wolf."

"That was someone else's relationship, not ours." She said.

I smiled at her, "I know."

"I am okay with all of this because I love you." She said, and kissed me.

I returned her kiss, "I love you too."

"Besides," she said with a small laugh, leaning in to kiss me again. "I've always had a thing for dogs."
