A Final Chapter
Hello everyone. This is me very first phanphic, so please be kind in your reviews. WanderingTeen helped me write this.
Disclaimer: I don't own the Phantom, or anything slightly Phantom related. But I do own these words in this order.
A letter. Erik gazed uncertainly into the parchment in his hands. It was from his angel, Christine. Why would she send me a letter?
The piece of paper asked him to meet in the graveyard, by her father's grave.
But why? Why was she trying to contact him again, after everything? After she had left with that boy? That… Raoul…
He stared at the graceful writing skittering across the page he held. His heart was broken, but he could not deny his sweet angel of anything. He would go, he decided.
Christine waited nervously near her father's grave, tugging at the edge of her cloak. She didn't know what had possessed her to send that letter…
Yes you do. She sighed, pressing a hand to the side of her pale face. She missed her Angel of Music.
As she stood, the doors to her father's crypt opened and light spilled out. The pure music of a violin met her ears, as well as a recognizable voice.
"Wandering child so lost, so helpless… yearning for my guidance…"
Christine looked into the crypt, her breath shaky. "Angel?"
The music continued, but the singing finished. After a few moments, the music finished as well.
Erik emerged from the crypt. He was much thinner since she had left him, and his gait was slow and uncertain. "Christine?"
Christine took a step towards him, her voice shaking. "I made a mistake. I'm sorry. Can you ever forgive me?"
Erik stared at her. Was it true? Had his Christine, his angel, actually come back to him?
"I love you."
And before he could do anything about it, Christine closed the space between them and threw her arms around Erik's neck, burying her face in his chest.
It was true. His angel of music had come back to him.
Fin.
