Merry (almost) Christmas!
It was December 25, and Caitlin and Julian were at an orphanage.
Believe it or not, there was actually a good reason for this. STAR Labs had a toy drive to give to the kids, and Caitlin and Julian had volunteered to deliver them.
They set up tables in the cafeteria, one filled with toys, and the other with hot chocolate and cookies.
Caitlin smiled as she looked at their work. She was glad to be spreading holiday cheer to other people.
And, because it was for a good cause (and because Caitlin wanted him to), Julian was wearing a Santa suit.
"I cannot believe you talked me into this." He said, pretending to be annoyed.
"Well, Cisco helped." Caitlin responded.
She, unlike Julian, was only wearing a Christmas sweater. It had a blue snowflake in the center, because Frost had insisted.
"True," Julian said, nodding, and trying to plug in a speaker, "But, how am I supposed to eat cookies with a fake beard on?"
They both laughed at this, feeling warm and happy inside.
Then the kids came in, and their eyes lit up at the sight of all the toys and treats.
Caitlin and Julian really enjoyed using their Christmas to make other people happy. In fact, it made them feel happy.
After the toys were passed out, the cookies eaten, and the hot cocoa drunk, they started cleaning up the room.
They went over to where the mistletoe was hanging, and both reached for it at the same time, without realizing what they were doing.
"Oh!" Caitlin exclaimed when she had figured it out.
"I guess we're supposed to kiss now," Julian said, sounding slightly awkward.
"Well, it is a tradition." Caitlin answered, smiling a bit.
"Right. Wouldn't want to break tradition, especially not that one." Julian said, returning the smile.
So they kissed, and had a very merry Christmas after all.
