The green drake wagged his tail as he eagerly waited at his bus stop. His deep sapphire eyes were lit up in sheer excitement. He had dressed in a hurry as told by his ash colored T-shirt which was worn backwards, the navy colored jeans with wrinkles throughout, and his untied red sneakers. The yellow backpack he carried shook as he bounced impatiently, the plastic charms attached to the zipper clinking in a steady beat.
Highschool; Tyler had always wondered what it would be like to wander its halls. He had friends from elementary who bragged about their brother or their sister going there. Tyler counted down his semesters until the big day arrived.
His ears perked up as the bus pulled up to his stop. The doors opened wide and the dragon hopped on and saw the familiar brown cat and snowy fox. "Hi, Alex! Hi, Roy!" The furred teens glanced at him and smiled slyly. "Tyler!", The cat, Alex, exclaimed as he waved. The fox, Roy, patted an empty spot between himself and Alex. The dragon plopped down on the seat, smile plastered on his face. The bus drove off to its destination:
Algernon High
Upon reopening the doors, the bus emptied out as the students jumped off. Tyler gazed excitedly at the large school building. He took a step foward…
And fell on his face.
"Yo, you okay?", Roy gasped. "Sorry man. I think I stepped on your laces. Tyler picked himself up. "I'm okay, I'm alright." He got up and dusted himself off. He quickly tied his shoes and ran off into the school. He refused to let anything stop him from his first day of highschool.
