Despite the lies that you're making
Your love is mine for the taking
My love is
Just waiting
To turn your tears to roses
Draco hugged his legs to his chest, tears tickling his cheeks from silver eyes as he gazed across the lake, feeling more alone than ever in his life. He buried his face against his black robe clad knees, feeling the liquid rushing from his pale metal eyes dampen his clothes.
I will be the one that's gonna hold you
I will be the one that you run to
My love is
A burning, consuming fire
Sobs began to consume the boy as he struggled to keep his cries silent; he did not acknowledge, or even know, the presence of the boy behind him, until he felt two hands wrap around his shoulders and a comforting warm scent enticed his cool, pale features.
No
You'll never be alone
When darkness comes I'll light the night with stars
Hear my whispers in the dark
No
You'll never be alone
When darkness comes you know I'm never far
Hear my whispers in the dark
"Draco," the voice whispered beside him, a warm hand running through Draco's platinum hair. "You're not alone...."
"But.... I-I am.... I-I... can't do this.....!" sobbed Draco, all his sharpness gone, and the smirk that usually poisoned his face disappeared without a trace.
"I'm never far from you, Draco," the dark haired boy murmured in Draco's ear, nuzzling his neck. "I'm always gonna be there."
You feel so lonely and ragged
You lay here broken and naked
My love is
Just waiting
To clothe you in crimson roses
I will be the one that's gonna find you
I will be the one that's gonna guide you
My love is
A burning, consuming fire
As Draco poured his misery out through his eyes, he felt all the more naked; for all the embarrassment he was feeling toward the Boy Who Lived who sat quietly as he cried, he might as well had run around stark nude.
"Draco.... please stop crying...."
His labored breathing beginning to slow, Draco dried his eyes impatiently and took a deep breath, not once letting go of his steel-like grasp on his knees; the peace didn't last long, though, before Draco broke into a fresh round of tears.
"I'll wait, Draco...." Harry whispered soothingly, stroking Draco's silky white hair. "Don't feel alone.... I'm here....."
To Draco, Harry's words seemed clothe him; that soft, gentle, husky voice seemed to relieve his feeling of nakedness, and with a little less effort than before, Draco became quieter, and his tears evaporated.
No
You'll never be alone
When darkness comes I'll light the night with stars
Hear my whispers in the dark
No
You'll never be alone
When darkness comes you know I'm never far
Hear my whispers in the dark
Whispers in the dark
Whispers in the dark
As Harry drew Draco closer to his chest, he was relieved to feel his chest rising and falling peacefully and undisturbed. Silver eyes were half closed in a dreamy way, and a few shimmering streaks of tears reflected the frosty night sky stars. Draco was curled against Harry, hands wrapped around his waist and head on his shoulder.
"I know you hear me, Draco.... Hear my whispers in the dark...."
And as Draco finally slipped off into a gentle, even sleep, Harry pressed his lips to Draco's pale colored head.
"....hear my whispers in the dark...."
