His new Family
"These people you are with now, would you leave any of them behind? Ever?"
Eliot stopped to think. Would he? Could he do it? He looked behind him and there was Parker. She smiled at him, like she was so proud of herself. He loved that. Most of the times she was completely crazy and didn't know how to interact with people, but there was something in her that attracted him. Maybe it was her innocence, her childish way, but he couldn't hate her. He could pretend, of course, like he always did, but she was part of his family now, just like Nate, Sophie and Hardison. It's been so long since he had someone to care, to protect, and he liked that. Difficult, yeah, but he could manage to live like that.
He wasn't able to answer General Flores. He hasn't stopped to think about the team until now. He hadn't paid attention to his feelings. He knew his job was to protect them, but he thought it was only a job, nothing else. He was so wrong. He even cared about their feelings, and that's why he wasn't able to tell them that he knew and worked for Damien Moreau, not until he had to help them.
He was still looking at her and she was still smiling, but the smile was starting to fade as she saw a different look in Eliot's eyes. But she was still happy. She was doing what she liked and this time she wasn't alone….not anymore. Eliot didn't want her to lose this. No…she had a rough life, just like him, but they were happy now. So no, he couldn't leave anyone behind. He would protect them, no matter what. And then he heard General Flores speak again on the phone.
"I thought so…"
