The Missing Girl

Albus Dumbledore did not expect to see this.

His spells utterly wrecked beyond repair, and both Petunia and her husband Vernon are black and blue in beatings, and their son terrified in a corner, soiling himself.

Dudley who was awake, was easy to Legilimize as his parents were understandably unconscious.

He did say to make her humble but he did NOT expect she be raised as a House Elf...and that, a foreign woman with glowing red hair coming in so angry, and beat them up without mercy.

And she did what he intended to do to make her loyal to him, but she got there first! HE was supposed to be the hero in her eyes, in order for her to always follow his counsel without question because of her destiny!

And where did she take Sierra Potter? All spells he weaved into the house linking to Sierra to maintain it, are all destroyed!

He took a look at her...cupboard...in hopes of hair for use to find her. But none.

That woman was thorough.

Damnit.

He can't use Petunia, a direct relative because she has no magic as does Dudley.

Giving the muggles a look of disgust, he left them there in their states as a lesson.

Dudley, out of catatonia from shock days later, his hair turned white and has had an irrational fear of redheads since and because he hasn't been in school for days and nobody answering the phone, a teacher paid a visit...and promptly called an ambulance.

On a car by the countryside...

Aoko looked at her sleeping charge, curled up in the backseat. It was good they're in England. It's close to London, where she could get treatment for her new student.

Her name for years, had been 'freak'.

But she was able to weasel out a name not even the poor kid was sure was real because she was so hated by her relatives it must be a fake name just so nobody sniffs in their affairs while still freely able to make her life miserable.

So they decided to settle for the fake name for now as it's all they got.

Sierra Potter.

"Well," she thought. "Surely its not that hard to raise students."

Years later...

Clock Tower...the Nowich Dormitory...

A young girl by the age of fourteen can be seen waking up from bed in the nude.

Beautiful(from years of hard work with sorcery) with pinkish-fair skin, vibrant wavy black hair and vivid green eyes. For her age, she was already a C which was impressive.

She got off her bed, showing she has a 'very firm, but healthy, slender body'. She is also smooth, no body hair whatsoever and her long hair reached her hips.

She went to the chair of her vanity desk, grabbing the underwear she took out last night after a bath, then to the closet to pick out clothes to wear for the day.

Her name is Sierra Potter.

Working part time as a Jewel Merchant to supplement her needs after Aoko raised her for years, tutoring her at home in Japan.

There she learned many things.

Freedom, her rights as a person. Language. Math. English. All Fields of Science. Magecraft Fundamentals. And Training From Hell as Aoko put it before chucking her to Clock Tower at age 13.

It's currently the summer of her second year in Clock Tower, with Aoko's sponsorship, she learns directly under Lady Atroholme, the Amazon of Clock Tower. She would learn the Fundamentals of the Creation Department and after that, is graduation.

Sure, Lady Inorai Valueleta Atroholme is from one of the Three Great Families of Clock Tower other than Barthomeloi and Meluastea, but not even the three great lords can say no to a Magician who is more powerful than them, having obtained the five greats of sorcery. In Aoko's case, her power is 'Time' if Zelretch was 'Access to Parallel Worlds'.

During summer however which was now, Sierra works as a Jewel Merchant.

She mines for jewels of various rankings, polishes them herself, and sells it at exorbitant prices. And she tends to polish the gems into a round shape though she could shape it in other shapes, 'roundness' was her most-preferred.

She sells even the 'cheapest of gems', E-Rank Gems in five digits. Her teacher would say, 'she's a heartless haggler' and 'a genius at financially fleecing you'. But even the wealthy ones cannot complain as she gets incredible-quality gems they don't mind spending anyway. She will even polish gems for you in requested shapes for an additional 1000 pound fee PER GEM!

Well, she did learn from the best.

Money, was where Sierra was 'at her utmost magus-sy' as Aoko puts it. She was an otherwise, morally-sound one.

And having such a great income from gems, Sierra was able to spoil herself while still juggling education. She was also fortunate as her new teacher isn't above using modern-day tech that the old lady in privacy, is listening to the radio for songs!

Sierra is also fully-aware she's insanely wealthy from an Inheritance.

After Aoko destroyed all spells in the Dursleys, other mail could FINALLY reach her that got them baffled while she was under treatment in Clock Tower. So Aoko took Sierra and a lot of 'things' became known to them. Sierra appointed Aoko as her legal guardian as her last ones, to quote Aoko, 'were human garbage' who enslaved a little girl.

Sierra thus also learns how to be a proper family head though due to rules, she cannot use her money much, being restrained to her Trust Fund she converted all into muggle pounds and pours her income there as well. She is also a source of magical creature parts and blood. She gets them cheaply in Diagon and Knockturn Alley and sells it sky-high in the tower after patenting all of them as genuine articles. She only opens when her stores are fully-stocked.

'I'm gonna attending Clock Tower where they use pounds, not literal gold coins when I'm 13.' said Sierra. 'And no way in hell I'm attending Hogwarts! Just one look at Diagon Alley alone I can tell what I'm gonna get for my money, no way I'm spending a single knut in there! The shops, I may explore for magical parts though.'

So with that settled, Sierra knows her family history and how she ended up with the Dursleys. So now she has been beyond the reach of the British Ministry and her so-called, self-appointed Guardian, Albus Dumbledore for many, many years.

Guardian.

What an embarrassment to the title and Sierra holds a grudge against him for putting her with THEM!

'Hey sensei,' said Sierra as she got to Inorai's Classroom. 'Is there something going on? I mean, this pompous ass just dumped a suitcase of cash on me and took all I got for my S-Class jewels! He even outbid the angry Edelfelts! I have to go jewel hunting, again!'

'Pompous ass?' Inorai chuckled in amusement.

'Yeah, some guy dressed in a long blue coat and swept back hair.'

'Humm...I'm hearing rumors lately, but have you heard of the Holy Grail War?'

'Oh. That.' Sierra blinked. 'Aoko-nee would tell me it's stupid and nobody's won so far.' she said. 'And that there's OTHER ways to get to the Root. Evident with her and that weirdo upstairs.'

Weirdo, is an understatement, Inorai thought.

That one word is best to describe Kischur Zelretch Schweinorg. But one cannot deny that he's the best Jewel Mage in the world.

'Mm. I hear Lord El-Melloi's participating. He must be this...pompous ass you speak of since I know all Lords in this tower.' Inorai mused thoughtfully. 'In the end, the real winners of this once-a-century affair are merchants such as yourself. Archaeologists who digs up artifacts for an ideal Servant, and Merchants for Mystic Codes after all, earn big.' she said. 'He is currently freshly-married to the daughter of Lord Sophia-Ri.'

'Married huh?'

'Yes. I hear its a typical match-up for the birth of a prodigious next generation.' Inorai nodded. 'Its for the sake of having superior heirs. But really, they should have an heir first before going to war. A fruitless marriage is a useless marriage, I tell you.'

'Well, the higher you are...the harder you'll fall. Especially if you never tasted failure in your life ever.' Sierra quipped. 'Well, how long have they been married?'

'As of last year, but they're both delaying it and to think they'll go to war this winter. There is increasing pressure to have heirs. Ideally, a boy. One for each family as Bram has yet to marry as well. He'll understandably supply the heir to Sophia-Ri.'

It wasn't just in Britain.

Sierra travels around the world to look for precious gems.

Her Trust Fund exceeded the amount of what her parents left her. She's getting wealthy in her own right, but her money at best, can only be compared to that of a 5-century household due to her own competence. Even then, her family vault is 'formidable'.

She also occasionally spies in the Ministry of Magic Offices and the Wizengamot by creating 'spy wallpapers'. Pieces of wallpaper that is transparent thus can be stuck ANYWHERE, and prints out what is overheard on a particular day at what time. She also had recently gone to Hogwarts, instructing a House Elf to stick it above his desk. Hogwarts had closed down until they find the Monster of the Chamber of Secrets, so for now, all students are home-tutored while the Department of Education assigned teachers for muggleborn students in a classroom in Diagon Alley, and the casualty was the only daughter of the Weasley Family.

How they knew?

The unique clock of the family. Ginny's hand was in Mortal Peril...before Death.

That had thrown the community out of the loop, given Salazar Slytherin's reputation that even the Purebloods are reluctant to risk their scions in the school.

That, and murders and disappearances are happening. Again. People are starting to fear 'the old days'.

It was how she got wind of Sirius Black, a man with a close relationship to her parents.

To this day, he was in her laboratory, comatose inside a tank within magical cultural fluids. She also captured Remus Lupin, and downloaded information they knew while fixing them of their issues. Both, were malnourished with various Health Problems. But in the Wizarding World, both have 'gone missing'.

By the time they leave the tanks, they'll be in their prime of health, and looking younger than they should.

But for now, more jewel-hunting.

She'll release them later. She's busy this summer.

By the end of summer where she got back with new wares, she received a note from her account manager.

'I have heard of this idiocy the Ministry is planning.' Sierra swore as she visited her family manager.

The Ministry, in a bid to curtail Death Eater Activity, had all vaults of its residents sealed. This was met with much protest from the people because how can they function without money?

But Fudge put his foot down. 'No money, no attacks on our people! But worry not! We will supply you with food and medicine for free, enough for your family's needs for a week before the next re-supply!'

'Indeed so. For three years, they say.' said her manager unhappily. 'But alas, due to treaties and fears of war happening again, money indeed fans the flames of war. Considering some families are financial supporters of Voldemort, this was a master-stroke that also crippled a whole country.' he told her. 'You may want to take out your entire Trust Fund because we will really be closed soon and bury Gringotts underground.' he said. 'You are the only customer we warned about this because you are literally out of Wizarding Affairs in Clock Tower and you only have today.' he grinned. 'Only witches and wizards are barred from this same privilege as everyone, is a suspect. Only the Ministry Coffers are open but even then, Fudge asked we be 'super strict' incase he gets Imperiused and Anti House Elf Security is applied as well.' he said. 'And now to make this possible, we have to keep House Elves out of groceries and supermarkets in muggle Britain as well.'

'Crap...' Sierra took out her enchanted seven-compartment trunk in order to take her entire Trust Fund with her which was a load of money. Ten millions of pounds bordering on 'hundred million'. And she had to buy sacks just to fit everything else.

And by the end of summer...she freed the now very-healthy Marauders. Still comatose, so she could clean, groom and dress them up.

Then she removed the comatose spell on them, waking them up. Due to being 'literally marinaded' in nutrients, their organs, blood, bone and muscle are at an enviable peak of health, something only magi can afford.

'W-where?' their voices hoarse from years of unuse.

'You're in my laboratory.' they looked at Sierra. 'Welcome, Sirius Black and Remus Lupin.' the blonde, scarred man quickly looked at Sirius in horror and ready to fight, but was restrained by ropes of silk. 'No violence in my laboratory Lupin...for I know the truth about my Godfather.'

'Y-you know?' Sirius asked Sierra hopefully. 'That means you're...little bambi?' Sierra nodded. Sirius burst into tears, bawling at how utterly sorry he was that not only did he fail in revenge, but also failing her as Godfather.

'Time to fill Lupin on the truth. Straight out of your mouth though I have my own methods of finding out.' said Sierra as she released Remus.

'How are we here Sierra? Last I remembered I was in Cornwall looking for you.' said Remus.

This was their first time seeing Sierra. Their only clue to her appearance was James' black hair, Lily's eyes and her scar. A scar she no longer has. And she's grown up a lovely girl. But her face shape wasn't that of her parents. It was different.

'And as anyone knows, I'm on the run.' said Sirius.

'It was easy for me to find and catch you with Goblin help as they can keep track of their customers. Cost me a hefty fee too.' Sierra snorted. 'And the events in Wizarding Britain is a perfect excuse to snatch the two of you.' the Marauders stiffened. 'Since you've been under medical comatose in my lab for almost two years, the recent event was in a bid to cripple Death Eater Activity, Fudge ordered the Sealing of all Gringotts Vaults.' she told them. 'Because I have no affiliation with Magical Britain, my manager warned me and I can at least, take out my Trust Fund.'

'Given that happened, I'll be financially supporting the two of you as being citizens of Magical England, your money is barred from you as well.'

'WHAAAAT?!'

Sierra took out the Daily Prophet which she enlarged, along with Gringotts' Statement.

They can only read numbly.

'Oh hell...' Remus whimpered. 'A-and is this really OK?!'

'Not like anyone will admit they're Voldemort supporters aren't they?' Sierra drawled as she restored the enlarged papers to original size. 'So to cripple a terrorist organization, take away their money. House Elves also cannot enter any form of establishment that supplies sustenance within this country be it magical or muggle. And the Ministry is releasing weekly provisions enough for a family only. Nobody can also apparate or use Portkeys unless you're a Gringotts Employee who works as Cursebreakers.'

'Talk about a complete Lockdown...but this is also perfect.' said Sirius. 'This will make them desperate. Come out stupidly. And be captured and exposed. But they might plead Imperius again!' he moaned. He sounded like he was whining too.

'For now, you are to be reeducated...notice anything in your memories?'

That got the Marauders questioning their own memories.

They found what wasn't there before.

The General and Individual Fundamentals of Magecraft. Vast knowledge about Science, Art and Mythology that can relate to Sorcery. How Magi fight. How Magi think. How Magi act. And they were trained in how to be Logical, and destroyed things Sierra deems detrimental so they noticed blanks as well. And why Witches and Wizards CANNOT know Magecraft.

'I downloaded that in your heads while you're under medical treatment.' Sierra told them. 'You can do whatever you want with that knowledge. But note that fundamentals will not protect you from most Magi in Clock Tower. So you will train and study in a cottage I procured for you.'

'Wait a minute Sierra, don't we get a say in all this?' Remus gasped out. 'We slept for two years, you accepted Sirius just like that...' he sputtered, considering the things he's known for years.

'Because I know the truth.' said Sierra. 'And did you not feel his genuine grief when he cried to me, admitting what I already know?' she asked him with a blank gaze. 'Are you that blinded in hate to hear the truth out? I understand that you stewed in it for over a decade, but things happen. And being a magus, I run on logic and rationality. As long as I get genuine information, I accept it as fact. Don't worry about me being a sociopath though, I was raised differently though I too, follow rules.'

'Sierra...' Sirius felt relieved his goddaughter accepted him. Moony on the other hand...will be a bit tougher. 'How have you been while I'm in prison and on the run?'

'I suppose I should start with the beginning before we go shopping...because the clothes on your back is currently all you got.'
