(A/n-) a oneshot that came to me when i was trying to go to sleep last night. Yeah, i know a weird place to think about stories, but hey it's comfortable. Any way here it is.
DISCLAMER: I sadly don't own Harry Potter... JK Rowling does. God bless her!
"Tell me again why you changed your mind about mudbloods."
Draco looked up from his coffee cup and stared at the woman accost from him. He obviously wasn't going to get out of this conversation. They both hadn't seen each other since the end of the war and a year had already passed since then. Pansy stared at him waiting for a reasonable answer. 'Gods, she really has changed over that one year we were apart.' Draco told himself. Draco watched Pansy as she quickly waved the muggle diner waitress off so they could have some privacy. He took a quick sip of coffee before starting to explain his new found beliefs.
"Well, you see Pansy. I have come to learn that most 'mudbloods' have come to wizard schools with more information about the world than we half bloods and pure bloods do." Pansy scrunched her eyebrows in confusion, but said nothing. Draco continued. "Muggle born wizards and witches tend to know more about muggle life than we do. There is only so much knowledge that Muggle studies can teach students. Plus the muggle population may as well fill two-fourths of the globe. That is two-fourths of the world we pure bloods can't understand! You could say I envy them for knowing more knowledge then most wizard and witches."
Pansy nodded, trying to process what Draco had just told her. It did make sense. She took a sip of coffee and gently set the coffee cup down on the table. "So, knowledge is what changed your mind about them? Because they are more intellectual than we pure's are?"
Draco sighed and stared at his old friend. "Well, yes and no." He confessed. Pansy had become quite a smart girl sense they both graduated Hogwarts. So he guessed there was no way she would believe that knowledge was the reason of his new beliefs on 'mudbloods'. Pansy smirked to her self when she realized she was going to get the real answer out of him. "It may be because I have a special someone as a girlfriend who… just happens to be muggle born."
Pansy giggled causing Draco to look up from the table, with a confused look on. "You do realize that somewhere in this world you father just turned over in his grave." Pansy told him with a smile on her face.
"Then I should probably add on that the muggle born witch I'm going out with is none other than Hermione Granger." Draco quickly flashed a genuine smile at Pansy. "So, then at least when he rolls over again he'll face the same way he was when he was buried."
(A/n-) Review. That's all I got to say
