Dudley knew he was nothing more than a bully. He didn't have friends; he had minions. All of the kids were scared of him. He liked to pretend that it was respect, but Dudley knew the truth. It was nothing more than fear that kept them in line.

His cousin was his favorite target. For as long as he could remember, he tortured Harry. His all time favorite game, and one that his minions joined in on, was Harry Hunting.

Even when Harry saved him, Dudley still did his best to torture Harry. He knew Harry had saved him. He might have not seen the monster, but he felt it on his face. Dudley wasn't sure what might have happened if Harry hadn't been there, and he didn't want to think about it. At that moment, before Harry got the monster away, he had never felt such hopelessness in his life. It was something he never wanted to feel again.

When his parents hounded Harry though, accusing him of trying to hurt Dudley, he didn't speak up in Harry's defense. It was just another way to hurt Harry, letting his parents believe Harry was nothing more than a troublemaker who had a violent streak.

Dudley never regretted it, though. Why would he? Harry was nothing more than a freak.

It was two years later he and his family were sent away to go into hiding. And it was another two years before he saw Harry again, albeit only from behind. And Dudley was sure he wasn't spotted by his cousin.

Harry was holding hands with a petite redhead. Her head rested on his shoulder, making it obvious what their relationship was.

Suddenly, the girl stumbled. Dudley saw the broken heel. Harry bent down, and said, "Reparo." They smiled happily at each other and then continued along the way.

Dudley clenched his fists and watched the happy couple walk away. Harry was in a steady relationship, and by the ring on her finger, most likely married. Dudley, on the other hand, couldn't even get a steady girlfriend. Fear didn't work in his favor when it came to girls.

He looked down at his scuffed sneakers and for the first time, admitted to himself why he treated Harry so badly. It wasn't just his parents' influence. He was jealous of his cousin.

Despite the bad childhood, Harry turned out great. Even when he was in that freaky school, he had good friends, not minions like Dudley. And now he was married to a pretty girl.

And, if Dudley was being perfectly honest, he always wished he could do magic like his cousin, even if it would have made his parents' angry. And that wish never came true.

Dudley would never tell Harry the truth, though. It didn't matter. He probably wouldn't ever see Harry again anyways. It just didn't matter.
